Chambers

Now I was very critical of him in the CB position. Thought he was more suited to RB and CDM. The criticism I felt was justified at the time but my word has he turned it around. Been absolutely fantastic at CB lately and credit to Osho also. Long may it continue!

He was a rock today. And has been for many games this season. BBM certainly knows how to improve his players.

Him and osho joint MOMs for me. Osho another solid outing too

When he was struggling a bit early season I wanted him defensive midfield as he’s a great captain and needed him on the pitch.
Glad he’s found his form now at the centre back.
Really important player for us.

I was in the same boat as you mate. I never saw him as a centre half but he has proved me wrong this season. Well done Callum long may it continue.

He had a sloppy start to the season but the past couple of months has been excellent
The glue that holds the team together almost

Osho was immense today, and BBM absolutely got it right by trusting the experience of Chambers and Osho in a game like that. They complement each other perfectly, with Osho’s pace balancing Chambers’ composure. Honestly, you’d struggle to find a Championship side with four better centre-backs than what we have right now. When you consider that Osho is the only real addition, it really highlights how poorly things were handled under Riza and the previous management.

Chambers really impressed me today. Forget the goal, his defending and, more importantly, the way he led that team was outstanding. On every set piece, he was organising, demanding, and setting standards. Anyone watching on Sky might have noticed him waiting in the tunnel to give one last pep talk before the team went out. That tells you everything. He’ll be absolutely massive in the run-in as we edge closer to the finish line. A proper leader, and you can already see the influence he’s having on those around him. As I’ve said before, we simply wouldn’t have had the Wycombe meltdown with Chambers on the pitch.

Another huge boost is having Alex Robertson back. His quality, combined with his energy, is invaluable. There was a 30-minute spell in the first half where the game was effectively won, and almost everything went through AR.

If we can avoid injuries to key players, this squad looks like it has answers to most challenges thrown its way. :ayatollah:
