Cardiff City FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Harry Tyrer, subject to international clearance.

“Brian has been very positive. I’ve spoken to a few people behind the scenes and they’ve also spoken about how positive he is. He’s told me to come in and work hard. That’s what I’m all about.

“Nathan [Trott] has done very well and it’s about pushing him and getting the best out of each other. I’m very excited to work with Nathan and Matt [Turner]. It’ll be a great goalkeeper union here.

Not a bad bit of business if it’s forward thinking for next season. If Trott is out of the picture and the club think this lad is the man for the job then you can’t argue with that. Makes a change from going into seasons with no idea who or what our squad is going to be

That's not the situation. Still on the cards for Trott to sign permanently.

I think he had to have signed by 12pm to be on the bench for tomorrow so probably not.

That's been the situation in the past, not sure if the rules are still the same.

Still the same, Ned

New players ‘need to be registered and approved by the league by 12 noon on the day prior to the date of the match

Given the timing of the announcement, it could well be that he signed the paperwork before the lifting of the embargo, and the paperwork submitted as soon as was practicable, in which case he could be on the bench. However, that would surprise me, as Turner hasn’t done much (if anything) wrong! :ayatollah:
