Referee rating - marks out of ten

Sat Jan 10, 2026 10:14 pm

I'll say 5.

Not great, but we've had worse.

Didn't like how he made the game very stop start.

But credit to him for playing advantage for the Salech goal.

Didn't fall for the Orient left back's playacting to try and get Tanner sent off.

Thought he was decent, played a good advantage for Salechs goal and didn't fall for orients theatrics, but also made some real strange decisions which I think is the norm for most refs this season

I fail to see how what happened between Tanner and the left back was good refereeing.

I was just glad he didn't send Tanner off. Some referees would have been fooled by the way the Orient defender threw himself to the floor.

I'll be honest from where we were stood in the stand opposite we were all convinced tanner was going to be sent off as it looked like he made contact and we were very relived when the yellow came out but after watching it on the highlights the orient defender played us all the diving little tw*t

I’ll give him 8 for not falling for the play acting acting by Archibald-embarrassing :banghead:

I thought he did ok. One of the better ones. Played good advantage for salechs goal. Got conned a few times and should have given Archibald his matching orders. He knew it was okay acting otherwise he'd have sent off tanner. The yellow for him was clearly for getting involved.

My point is if your the ref and your not buying the rolling around on the floor, how do you come to the conclusion they both get booked

Obviously a yellow for shirt pulling and for Tanner reaction in putting head to head.

Madness the foul was a booking, the rolling on the floor was a booking, guy should have walked. Extremely poor decision
