" Rubin Colwill "

Thu Jan 08, 2026 12:15 pm

BBM:

"Rubin's back running on the treadmill and we expect him to be back running on the grass next week.

Rubin will be back next month.

He is a player we value hugely and having him back in our squad in February is something we're all looking forward to.

Eli King is also progressing well and it's beneficial for them to have each other while they're recovering from their injuries.

Eli's injury is obviously more long term. We expect him to train with us fully before the end of the season. When you come back from an ACL, there is an extended period of training.

So we don't expect him to play for us this season but the more training he can get, will benefit his return in the summer a lot."

That earlier than expected for Rubin isn't it Worcester?

Think it was late February to mid March initially so he must be progressing better than expected.

The more of our players that are available to be in the squad, the better :thumbright:

We've missed him, especially when we play against teams that try to defend for 90 minutes or more. The best addition to the team we will make in this window, or just after, will be him.

He’s not actually our captain but I take your point and agree with you.

Hope he gets up to speed quickly as at this moment in both their careers Rubin is twice the player Kellyman is.

One thing I hope he's watched back from his season so far is his runs into the box when the ball is out wide.

Hasn't done enough of it because with his height, can get plenty of goals in those situations.

Something BBM mentioned a while ago so maybe they've pointed out things he can do to help that while he's been injured.

He was for a large part of the season as Chambers wasn’t making the team.
