Cardiff City boss Brian Barry-Murphy's three-word response to Strasbourg job linksBy Glen WilliamsBrian Barry-Murphy has played down links with Strasbourg amid yet more reports that suitors are interested in prising the Cardiff City boss away from the fantastic job he is overseeing in the Welsh capital.
Barry-Murphy oversaw yet another victory in front of a home crowd, their eighth home win in a row which is their best return since 2012, to maintain a three-point lead at the top of League One.
The impressive job he has done at Cardiff has seen him linked with the likes of Middlesbrough and Celtic in recent months, while there was also tentative talk of him potentially being recruited by Strasbourg should Liam Rosenior leave.
Rosenior is thought to be the leading candidate to replace Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, which would leave the French side in need of a new boss. However, when quizzed on those Strasbourg links, Barry-Murphy simply replied: "
I love Cardiff."
That sort of response will no doubt delight owner Vincent Tan - and it's not the only aspect of the day which will put a smile on the Malaysian's face.
