Honest question, not fishing or trolling..If Wrexham had the same size ground as us would they be getting bigger crowds than us? I'm well aware they are currently playing at a higher level than us but all being equal would they top our crowds? We seem to have hit a bit of a ceiling ATM with our crowds so interested to hear what others think. I'm also aware we had 33,000 in a 1 off game.

Their location would go against them, not that far from the north of England where you have Liverpool and the Manchester clubs.
It'll be interesting to see what their crowds are like when their new stand is finished. They tend to sell out a small stadium every week at the moment so we'll see if they continue to do that with a higher capacity.
Also wonder whether crowds will drop when they go through a bad spell. They will at some point, all clubs do.

They will probably fill the new stand when its finished but the big test will come if they don't make the Premier League within next two years, especially if they aren't making a good challenge. .Crowds will start to drop.

The reason I asked this question is because atm they seem to be running their club in a professional manner and doing and making all the right noises. They have owners who people can identify with and are well known in the acting world, they're investing in the team, ground and infrastructure. Historically Wrexham are not as well supported as City but their profile has grown immensely these last 3-4 years, imo they're situated in an area that's a hotbed for football ( close to Manchester/Liverpool), they're definitely a team on the up.
All this led me to the point of this thread if they keep doing things positively and offering a product that seems to appeal to the people in that area how popular could they become?
All this makes me sound like a Wrexham fan

but don't be fooled was just looking for opinions on our noisy neighbours

No as to much of a catchment area for other and bigger clubs not so far away in my opinion

Some great points mate, doesn’t make you sound like a Wrexham fan at all. That club has been run brilliantly the last few years. Many fans across the country will have green eyes for how good a job the done on the pitch, off the pitch in the media and the local community. They up and to now have kept faith with the same manager which as a side note he done better than I thought since coming to the championship, made very good signings.
In terms of of the crowds I really don’t know how big they could get they have a lot of pulling power for many reasons. Locally they have a limited population so would be restricted by that, however as mentioned they are in a big catchment with big clubs from some big cities that a lot of Wrexham people follow. There is nothing to say they can’t attract people with their unique story from those cities, they have huge populations within reach not every goes to watch Man U, Liverpool, Man City Everton etc.
So yes I think with premier league success and the club well run and United as one they could definitely pull in much bigger crowds.

All things being equal, no, we would have bigger local fanbase. I get the argument that they are in a rich football area but for me that goes against them not for them. That said, local fanbase isn't where money is anymore. Look at sides like Brentford and Bournemouth for proof of that.
Honestly, I wish them well (unlike the Jacks and Worzels)

Exactly this. They have been riding the crest of a wave for the last few years. Let’s see how loyal their new fans are when they start getting hammered every week or go through bad spells. Also, when the novelty of playing the ‘bigger clubs’ wares off and suddenly playing the likes of Coventry, Derby, West Brom season after season becomes less attractive.
To answer the question though, no. I don’t think they will ever have bigger crowds than us and again for the reasons you have given location. I reckon they could get around 25,000 max if doing ok in the Premier League, wish them well though and of course might be wrong

I think the problems Wrexham will face are two fold. If they stay still, Disney+ will lose interest in them and the American public are fickle and will lose interest. With that, they will lose sponsorship which is keeping them going. If they are successful they will be limited in their crowds. They are a small town roughly the size of Merthyr. Their nearest city Chester hate them and I think Engish fans from Liverpool or Manchester will not support a Welsh side. I also think Ryan Reynolds is clever enough to realise this and will sell to other more ignorant Americans.
