Spare a thought for Watford fans

Watford fans made the 360 mile round trip to Hull today.

But didn't get to watch their team as the match was postponed 20 minutes before kick off due to areas around the pitch being unsafe because of weather conditions.

Reminds me of the trips we made to Brighton and Derby a few years ago where the games were postponed when we were almost at the grounds.

I remember one back in around 2002 it was called off en route to Peterbrough too very close to the game.

We were in Peterborough on a official club coach game called off turned around to travel back and our coach bellowing smoke broke down
Another supporters coach ferried both coach passengers to a country pub and we waited 5 hours for a replacement coach
Wales lost to Italy for the first time in the six nations rugby and I can remember it being on the to in the pub and loads of Cardiff cheering Italy strange day out indeed

Tom Ince was on talksport earlier and said the pitch was fine, other than a section of 5G that was solid which was small. Sounds like Hull have a bit of a hybrid pitch going on. It also sounds like (from a Watford players perspective) that they could have sorted it quite easily.

Brutal on the fans, 15 mins before!!
