Luey Giles and Will Spiers go out:

Young defensive duo Luey Giles and Will Spiers have both joined National League side Eastleigh on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign, subject to international clearance.



Left-back Luey made his senior debut back in April 2024, and has since featured for the Bluebirds First Team eight times, including two appearances in this season's Vertu Trophy, scoring against AFC Wimbledon in the Round of 16.

Fellow full-back Spiers also featured twice and scored once in the Vertu Trophy this term, netting in our 3-1 win over Arsenal U21's. Will also spent time on loan with Merthyr Town in the opening half of the campaign, making 10 appearances in the National League North.

The pair will now head to Eastleigh in the National League, with the Spitfires currently sitting in 14th position in the table. They will feature alongside former Bluebirds Kieron Evans, James Waite and Lloyd Humphries in Hampshire.

We'd like to wish Luey and Will the best of luck during their time away from South Wales.

A much better level and test for them. Kieran Evans is having a good season for Eastleigh too. Probably their best player.

I was hoping we'd see a bit of Giles this year.

There was a pre-season game when Bulut was in charge I think where Giles played this through ball that led to a goal. It was sublime! Ever since I've been hoping he'd get given more game time.

BBM must think he's not quite ready yet.

Watched their debuts this afternoon. Both had 30 minutes in a 1 v 2 win away at Boston. Spiers looked better than Giles and got forward well.
