2 Previous Meeting Minutes

All agreed that the minutes from the previous meeting were accurate.

3 Re. FA Cup triumph 100-year anniversary

JA presented the preliminary plans for the upcoming celebrations marking the 100-year anniversary of
the Club’s FA Cup victory during the 1926/27 season. A newly designed campaign-specific logo has been
produced and will be used throughout all activities related to the centenary celebrations. James
highlighted that the award-winning initiatives from the Club’s 125th anniversary season would serve as a
foundation for the ‘100’ campaign, with many elements being repurposed for the centenary events. Initial
planning has commenced, with a focus on the following areas: events, content, stadium, retail &
Foundation. Fan input will be actively encouraged, and the FAB will have the opportunity to provide
feedback and share ideas with the Club regarding the centenary celebrations.
The FAB discussion centred on the possibility of using the 1927 kit and badge for FA Cup games next
season, with considerations around obtaining permission from the College of Arms and the Royal Order
of the Garter. Support was expressed for the proposal, including a willingness to petition the EFL, and

Positive that they’re looking at the family stand. It’s always very sparsely populated.

I didn’t read it like that, but we live in hope!

Problem is still that the current owner has a valuation in his head that no one has yet met; although it seemingly came somewhat close last summer! :ayatollah:

Close?

As VT showed no interest what so ever I'm struggling to believe that.

I think two things need to happen before he'll sell regardless of price.

1) the club needs to be back in the championship, so he can claim he left us in a better position than when he bought us.
2) The court case with Nantes needs to be concluded so he can claim the club acted correctly and morally under his reign.

He won't leave unless his ego is protected and those two things need to happen. It is all about face at this point.

"Face" or not being seen to lose it is a factor but I would also say that and overarching driver is the fact that the £250M that he has spent on the club represents 50% of his current net worth. He's wealthy but no oligarch and being back in the championship increases the clubs value but nowhere near where he thinks it should be. Let's hope he finally sees sense at some point and sells at a realistic value and with a deal that works for us all.

I've always thought that your #2 is the most important thing to him as he feels a lot of weight from that one thing which is why he has kept going with it.

Unfortunately I think the #2 will drag on and on as whoever loses this decision coming up will surely appeal …

If we get promoted he should just sell. Would get closer to what he wants then.

His family are constantly telling him to sell.

He can't enjoy owning the club so now would be a good time for him to get out, providing we go up.

Then he can frame it that we're in as good a place as when he bought us (I don't think that would be true but that's what he'd say).

He said he'd come to a game this season but I can't see him coming to a game again. He wouldn't get a good response and there would be a protest.
