Dreadful. Shocking. Not a clue. Salech gets fouled every time and when he gets totally pissed off and speaks to the ref he gets booked. They haven’t got a clue. Arms wrapped around a player preventing him from jumping or moving is a foul. What is he supposed to do ? I bet if questioned directly they with not be able to answer it.

Hope you don't mind, have added the "mark the referee out of ten" poll to this thread because I forgot to do it earlier - makes sense to have it on this thread.
I agree, he was very poor.

I gave him a 1 for managing to breathe.

My only question is why we can’t give a 0
He was useless beyond

I’ve gone straight down the middle with a 5
I don’t think he was that bad, as he was pretty equal to both sides. He tried to let the game flow, just didn’t play some situations well, including the constant manhandling of Salech
I often look at these referee polls and with scores of 1, 2, etc., I think the responders have based their scores on the result alone. Not every ‘non-win’ is down to him, and yesterday’s was more a case of ‘good chances missed’ and another ‘soft’ goal against!

I gave him a 1 because 0 wasn't an option.

Because it's a scale of 1 to 10.

A bit disappointed, as I was looking forward to reading your justification for that score!

Nothing to do with the result Sven - I just felt he got so many fairly straight forward decisions wrong, gave a lot of cheap free kicks against us that he let go for them, he got in the way of play as he didn't seem fit enough to keep up, the decision to even give a foul against Salech was ridiculous, not surprised he had something to say about it afterwards which, quelle surprise, resulted in a yellow. Our players who got booked mostly for totally inocuous challenges had to tread really carefully as he was so inconsistent a red was a real possibility [Robertson aside who needed to come off]. You could argue he got the penalty decision right, but it was never a foul in the first place. I felt he was easily the worst ref I have seen this season. Hope that sets the record straight!

I think it’s great you actually try to justify your marks, but he was poor for both sides in equal measures, and not directly responsible for our failure to win
Zero or one? Either way, it’s not a mark that reflects or respects the referee or the game (IMHO)

With respect you asked me to justify my comments which I did, so now perhaps you could do the same regardng my response - its all about opinions isn't it and it would appear that judging by the results of the poll most posters align with my assessment of his performance than yours... I would appreciate it if you could explain your reasoning for suggesting that he was equally poor for Wycombe as I can't think of a single 50/50 decision that went our way and how they came out of it with less yellow cards than we did. I've always been taught that you have to earn respect and I'd like to know how you think he earned that right? Just being the ref isn't enough. I also don't understand why you think my comments don't respect the game as I also pointed out that I didn't think he was responsible for our failure to win, so not sure why you brought that up in your response? By the way I have no agendas, I just tell it how I see it, and for me based on his overall performance he was easily the worst ref I have seen this season

Ok the referees are hit and miss , but the biggest problem are linesman who see fouls and stand there like they need to go to specsavers
Honestly the amount of fouls on the wings and they do nothing till the referee blows , all they do is call offside now
