"I was conscious that I've asked Cian Ashford to do a lot. Along with Ryan Wintle, he's played the most minutes in the last four weeks.

And I wanted to get Ollie Tanner back in action to give him some game time and increase the speed of his return to fitness, so it was a good chance to give Cian a complete rest and not be tempted to put him on the bench or the pitch. He'll be really fresh for Thursday.

The more minutes Ollie gets now, the more ready he'll be. Then when we come to the end of January, we'll see the first signs of Rubin Colwill coming back into our dressing room and pitch. So having Ollie and Rubin back will be huge for everyone."

Bagan must be screaming for a rest.
