Kellyman

Mon Dec 29, 2025 9:56 pm

BBM said it would take time for him to get up to speed.

Now we're seeing how good he is.

Has been very very good for several games now.

His control of the ball and his running was crucial in seeing out that win.

Going to be a very important player in the second half of the season.

He's looking very good isn't he. His confidence is building (as is his fitness) and it's showing.

He makes turning with the ball at pace look easy coz his vision/awareness of where the opposition players are, along with that first touch, is just brilliant.

I was worried he'd be too light weight but who cares with his talent. I was also really worried we'd miss Rubin...but no

I massively underestimated how undercooked he was. More of a second striker than Rubin, but I think that's what we need anyway. Very talented young man

Spot on, I’ve missed a lot of games due to being away a lot.

The improvement from Kellyman from his first few games has been incredible.

Completely changed the game tonight when he come on along with Kpakio who is a far better option at right back when facing a team we know will set up defensive

Re: Kellyman

The only player to take players on and run at them, up until he came on we were going nowhere he has taken rubins place,
we were doing the same as boxing day plenty of possession but nothing direct ,passing when we could have taken a shot at goal .

Re: Kellyman

Hopefully if we go up we can get him for another year.

He changed the game when he came on, actually trying to take players on.

Re: Kellyman

Made a huge difference when him and Kapakio came on

Re: Kellyman

Absolute loving watching him in full flight his close control is top draw and he glides across the pitch, he's gonna rip teams apart in the second half of the season

Re: Kellyman

Nice thing is now opposition have got to worry about him, helps leave gaps for other players

Absolutely agree! Whilst there were some great moments throughout the game, the two subs, Kellyman and Kpakio, were only upstaged by David Turnbull, who got my Man of the Match vote tonight! :ayatollah:

This kid is pure class
I could see it at the start of season he was gona be special,
Will be a game changer and a game winner rest of season if he stays injury free , just a different level of class , a great signing and imagine if we could have him next season :bluebird:

He’s class, seen it a few games this season. If we can get him next season then that would be very good.

Also last season we lose that game. BBM is the best manager we have had since warnock. Let’s hope it continues.

BLUEBIRDS :D

Why didnt he start yesterday? I'm not buying the "he needs to be rested" nonsence. He's come to form and is gliding past the opposition. He's looking like he's got the ability to slow everything down to his pace and then just glides through it.

Needs to start for me, ideally at 10.

He's been recovering from a serious hamstring injury, if you over load it to much it's possible it could snap again, we need to use him carefully whilst we're playing every 3 days, once we get back to a normal schedual I'm sure he will start every game

Football is all about timing and Kellyman was brought on exactly when needed. They can’t all play 90 minutes each time.

He's 20 years old. Not a 38 year old with miles on the clock.

Guessing you've never had a bad hamstring injury, there an absolute bugger to recover from no matter your age and if you do to much to soon the chances of re-injury are very high, bbm is playing it safe probably under Chelseas instructions which is the sensible thing to do

You've guessed wrong, but my recovery wasnt state of the art.

You're doubling down on an non-informed assumption that its due to his hamstring. It may be fatigue. It may be many other reasons. I dont care either way, I just would like to see 20 year old loanees play more than once and a quarter per week.

I would also love to see him play every minute of every game but not if it means losing him for the rest of the season and bbm has stated a few times that his injury is the reason his minutes are being managed, let's just hope we see a lot more of him over the next few months as he was unplayable when he came on yesterday

The answer is simple - the manager knows better than you and with the results it’s difficult too disagree.

He knows his fitness levels, injury concerns and niggles, training status, match fitness, mentality, etc.

I think we’ll see more of him in the second half of the season, hopefully.
