On a 5 and half year contract aswell,

That's insane lol.

Considering the football landscape these days. Why would any club give a manager a 5 and half year contract?

They couldn't afford to give him what he wanted on a 3yr contract
so they gave him less but on a 5 and half Yr contract.
They are skint now so I don't know where they go from here

Could see this coming, but a contract as long as that! Always hoped the City would sign him in mid 2000's was a very decent centre half, but obviously struggled after promotion last season.
Does make me wonder where various clubs / owners and supporters, see where there should be?

I wonder if Robbie Williams will step in and save them

As Club President, and as a lifelong supporter, Robbie Williams has already put a stack of money into Port Vale FC, so you need to fact-check before butting into another club’s Forum (well ahead of your supposed club’s fixture at the CCS

However, Darren Moore did receive a 5 1/2 year contract last season, rejoining the club after being released from a one-year rolling contract. The ‘new’ contract was seen as a ‘statement of intent’ for their future!

I already now that he's put 240,000 into the club as I live in the city,
Was just asking if he would save the club cos they seem to be in trouble.

I think you missed the whole point that Robbie Williams is already in there and has put substantial money in

But hey, feel free to jump in, without actually contributing anything but humour! :ayatollah:

Thank you, and no reason why you cannot post!

I had you down as a Blackpool supporter but not living in/near Port Vale to have a closer view (my bad), and my point was only that Robbie Williams has been involved with Port Vale for a long time, so he will have known the situation before, during and after Moore’s tenure :ayatollah:

No surprise
Won't even be surprised if Rob Edwards gets the sack for wolves before the end of this season. Even though he only just signed.
