The Bluebirds suffered defeat to Lincoln City last time out, but Davies and the squad are keen to learn from the loss rather than dwell on it.
ISAAK DAVIES:
“I think Lincoln were a strong side,” Isaak continued. “They have been all season. They defended really well and it was obviously disappointing that we lost the game, but we can learn so much from it, and hopefully going into the next game we'll have them learnings and take them in.
“The manager keeps telling us that we have to focus on the next game. We learn from Lincoln now and we head into the next one. We never get too down when we lose and too high when we win - that’s the main message.”
Exeter City will be the visitors to Cardiff City Stadium on Boxing Day. The Bluebirds defeated the Grecians in the Vertu Trophy earlier this season, but Davies highlighted the need for City to focus on themselves and their own development.
“We don’t really want to focus on the opposition too much,” he concluded. “We want to focus on ourselves because we know when we’re at our best, we can play with a real intensity like we did against Chelsea. We can really hurt teams playing the way we do, so we have to keep focusing on ourselves.
“Every day in training we have to give it our all and things will fall into place off the back of that. As long as we’re applying ourselves properly every day, then the result will take care of its itself.”
