'Disappointed' Millers boss' pointed Etete message after Cardiff had just given Etete a brand new 2 year contract.
Rotherham United boss Matt Hamshaw has hinted that a decision may already have been made over the future of Cardiff City loanee Kion Etete, as doubts grow over the striker’s long-term role at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Etete aged 24 despite being injury prone and as a Striker, only scoring 6 goals in nearly 60 games for the Bluebirds, and failing badly at Bolton last season on loan, Dalman and Ken Choo in the Summer gave Etete a New 2 year Contract m.
Etete is one of two loan forwards at the Millers whose seasons have been badly disrupted by injury, alongside Everton youngster Martin Sherif. While both players arrived with expectations of bolstering Rotherham’s League One push, fitness issues have limited their impact and raised the prospect of an early return to their parent clubs when the January transfer window opens.
It looks like Etete will once again return to the Bluebirds.
"We will see how we get on through the next run of games. I have been disappointed with the availability and we need people out on that pitch.”
Last week, Cardiff boss Brian Barry-Murphy said of the striker's situation: "I think his rehab's going really well.
"I'm in constant dialogue with James Rowland (head of medical services) and he said he's making really good progress and they anticipate that he'll be back in action pretty soon.
“I think he will be fit and return to Rotherham very soon.”

Kion Etete, a really nice guy, has become a bit of an enigma in football, but I can see a really good player in him. Clearly the Bluebird hierarchy can too, as they gave him a new contract only last summer
However, he does appear to have continuous ‘issues’ of varying types, and it does leave questions surrounding his physical, and maybe mental, abilities to be a ‘professional’ football player
I would so like for Kion Etete to prove me wrong, and I sincerely hope he comes through his incredible run of bad luck to assert himself in the game, but sadly, if his Rotherham ‘loan’ is terminated, as seems likely, I don’t think that future will be at the CCS

That's a strange comment. He's certainly injury prone but "no balls", WTF is that about.
