Brian Barry-Murphy:
“If you look at who we’ll play on Saturday, how good they are and how good we’re going to need to be, once Tuesday subsides and you wake up on Wednesday, you quickly start to refocus," Brian began.
“I think they’ve been a brilliant club for a number of years in terms of how they’ve operated.
“They’ve recruited a calibre of player that is very effective and have developed a lot of players themselves so they have become a very attractive club for a lot of young players to be associated with.
“I’ve been to their stadium many times and it’s a brilliant stadium to play at. It’s a very daunting task but one we’re looking forward to and one that we’re going to try and overcome.
“It was an amazing evening for us all and I’m sure we’ll look back on it with fond memories, not quite as fond as we would have liked it to be. That’s now in the past and we’re looking to the future.
“All the signs that I’ve seen from our team this season is that they can quickly refocus.
“Today and tomorrow are very important training days and we’re looking for the signs of who is in the best possible condition to compete for a place in the team. We take it day by day in that way.
“The ambition of the team is clear. We have a lot of things that we need to improve on. That was evident last Saturday and was evident on Tuesday.
“We have to remain very focused on the parts of our game that need the most attention.
“The season is so enjoyable because of how the players have worked and because they are so keen to improve. We do genuinely feel as if we have a lot of things that we need to improve upon.
“It’s a very varied approach in terms of how teams set up against us. One of the beauties of this division is the many different styles of play.
"Our focus is to try and help the players to be more adept to all situations that they face.”
