Lincoln 3rd in this division at home pushing to be top will be our most difficult game,
especially after the effort physically and mentally, the training ground thursday and friday will be very important to get our heads 100% on this game.
I think if we win saturday and tan backs murphy in a few weeks time we should be looking at promotion.

Agreed.
Actually would say that Lincoln is more important than tonight.
But a point on Saturday I'll be happy with.

Promotion in my book since day 1 at port vale has been my mantra otherwise what we have built so far will all come crashing down manager gone players gone tan still in charge, like a bloody nightmare.promotion at all costs no more cups 100%.

Agreed especially now but I do believe the position we've put ourselves in a position to gave us a bit of freedom.
We are on track for 100+ points in don't see Bradford or Lincoln getting more than 80 with the size of their squads. We 're 10 points clear of Bolton and Stockport lost track of Luton and Huddersfield.
Love league 1

Lincoln is a more important game for me. I’d be relatively happy with an away point but I’m sure we’ll go for the win to build a bigger gap.
Nobody knows what Tans going to do and quality players are not easy to find in January but I’m hoping we can bring in at least two.

As long as we widen that gap from third place Ill be happy, cant be doing with play-offs

Oddly..... Lincoln, despite their league position, have the 24th and therefore worst average possession in the league at 40%.
They also fail to feature in the top6 of any of the team stats, usually around 8th or 9th - again, odd considering they are 3rd.
They are 6th in the goals scored, but a difference of +7
They've lost against:
Wimbledon
Exeter
Leyton Orient
Rotherham
Wycombe
and then Huddersfield who are the only 'credible promotion' rivals that have beaten them
They've beaten:
Barnsley
Doncaster
Port Vale
Stevenage
Peterborough
Luton
Burton
Plymouth
...so some decent wins there.
Bit of an oddity when looking at the stats to be fair. Also very odd, every single outfield player in their usual 11 has scored and assisted; so their goals are coming from all over the shop. Current joint top scorer is ex-bluebird James Collins; who really does not worry me at all.
After us, they play Stockport, Barnsley and Huddersfield. After those 4 games, if they are still 3rd, then I'd say they are a serious contender.

As of today, not sold out our allocation. Thought this would sell out early, but with the Chelsea game and Xmas costs, looks like an opportunity for people to get some fan points.
I will be there 10 am train from Leeds, arrive at 12.35, looks like a few pubs on the way to the ground

I'll be making the trip up Saturday I'm absolutely loving away games this season there's a real were all in this together attitude but I'd be happy with a point means Lincoln stay 6 behind us and we still have a game in hand

Lincoln is a hell of a run like hull almost, hats off to all who travel.
