Luke molineux, i was very impressed with him he beat bagan every time I have not seen that for a long time ,thank God bagan got the winner, but very impressed by there winger, but equally my man of the match Ashford thought he tore them apart,
but there winger would be a good addition if he becomes available .

He is either extremely 2 footed or on his "proper" side. I agree he caused us issues all game

I thought that's why Davies got dragged half time because he wasn't doubling up with Bagan he had them both on toast being direct not back wards passing every time or sideways although he was my man of the match for me them behind that Charlie crew who they took off :bluescarf:

If thats why Davies was taken off i don't think Willock is the answer to help Bagan

He was good but he's played most of his career in the lower leagues and will be 28 in a few months, so not sure about signing him.

But I agree, he caused Bagan more problems than anyone else has this season.

Surely at a reasonable price and for a few seasons? In the championship.

It was almost a throwback to yester-decade. Full backs are so used to showing players the outside, knowing they want to do what Davies, Ashford, Willock and Tanner do and turn inside onto their proper foot that I think Bagan gave him an acre of space and he took it.

Not saying this fella, but I'd love a Noone or Burke proper winger in the sqaud to switch it around when needed.

He has done little in the past Every player has a day that they have their best game and yesterdays may well have been his His past does not suggest he has many like yesterday

Obviously would not sign on 1 showing but monitor over a period but if you have observed him over a period I will take your word for it that he is just an average winger and had the game of his life.

Monty, I’m confident Abetgavenny was looking at the stats, but I agree that Luke Molineux had a very good game on this occasion. However, if he was ‘that good’ consistently, he wouldn’t be playing in lower League One at 28 years of age

I thought Cardiff-born Charlie Crew was their best player, and can only assume he had an ‘issue’ to be substituted

That was one long, but happy, day for you! :ayatollah:

It was indeed a happy day started off at 9.30 am jumped up and down in the canton end like a teenager and got back home 8.30pm.
So glad that Ashford has found his confidence under bbm, he has all the makings of someone who could really push on all the way, pleased for the lad that's why I gave him man of the match.

He had a great game, but we have Tanner coming back, who is better. He's going to love playing in this team again.

You are correct I was basing it on his stats That he has only really played at National league and Div 2 before this season. With the scouting systems around If he was of any standard I am sure a bigger club would have picked him up before. That is what i have based it on . As a club we have signed a few players who have played well against us ,only to regret it Gavin Gordon always comes to mind

And Gary Madine who gave Bamba a hard time and we signed him 4 weeks later

Last year, 18 goals and 13 assists
Year before, 11 goals 10 assists

Great numbers for a winger albeit in L2 but continuing form this year of 3 goals and 9 assists in 27 games

You could say it's a gamble as he's only been doing it at L1 level this year but certainly can't write it it off as a one off performance based off those stats!

Could be a late bloomer? Could be a flop, by who knows, I'm sure a few clubs are looking into him though and suggesting him as a low cost gamble and/or backup is a good shout imo

Re: DONCASTER WINGER

Apparently league two player of the year last year and looks good enough for the championship to me... Not making an argument to sign him we are well stocked with good young wingers

Re: DONCASTER WINGER

Mon Dec 15, 2025 6:49 pm

Yes league 2 player of the year last year and in the team of the season. Bagan has been great this season but this Guy gave him the runaround Saturday. Salech would be in dreamland with this Guy on the wing.

Re: DONCASTER WINGER

Mon Dec 15, 2025 8:10 pm

I was only passing on what I saw Saturday but you can usually spot somebody with something you either have it or not, I don' t buy the theory he has only ever had 1 good game in 10/ 20 etc or just average in his career yes he could have had a better day than usual ,but bagan just could' nt cope, but its all about opinions but his stats so I was told they are not great so no argument from me,
but if your player of the season and that amount of goals, he clearly has something which should be included in his stats.

I liked him, also. He stood out. In an era of tiny/skinny/frail wingers, he looked like a beast.
