These were Cardiff fans right?
Reading on twitter that parents encouraged them to go on there. And when stewards grabbed them and took underneath the dad punched a steward and got arrested?
Not sure how true

Both lads looked only about 10 years old. Appeared to enter the pitch from the family stand.
They started to run towards the half way line when the ball was up the Canton end along with most of the players.
A few stewards started approaching them and they soon did an about turn.
The quickest lad hopped back into the area between both sets of fans and dashed up through the exit tunnel.
The other lad thought about following him, but appeared to be called back by a woman who I thought may have been his mother.
The match resumed while a group of stewards gathered around the woman with the second lad, before they appeared to leave.
I have no idea what happened under the Family stand afterwards.
However, I did notice one or two drunken groups of irresponsible adults attending with some youngsters in the family stand yesterday. Too much pre-Christmas spirit in them while accompanying kids.
Credit to one lady steward who approached one gobby thug amoungst them, as the match was about to get underway and told him he couldn't drink his beer while sat in the stand. He refused to go back under the stand to drink it, but drunk it slowly while she waited patiently. Then gave her the empty plastic glass before resuming his obscenities towards the opposition fans.
It was unusual to see that sort of undesirable type amoungst the kids.

I used to be ST holder in family stand, I witnessed kids throwing coins at Leicester players while they with their fans after owner died, I contacted the telephone number requesting that CCTV footage be checked, never heard a thing back!

Reading the two comments so far on this thread is the reason why Canton and Family Stands will never be swapped over.
I am in Canton and would prefer to be closer to the away fans, but if the stands were reversed then no doubt there would be a lot more situations like those described above. More trouble than it's worth.

Another from yesterday was the ball girl Ninian stand just sat on here stool with the spare ball on the pitch very close to her while the play carried on.
Very poor.

Going in some of that, it sounds like it’s a valid reason to swap the ends around!
The irresponsibility of some (certainly not all) ‘
parents’ modernly doesn’t bode well for the future, as each generation pushes the envelope a little further!

I think that was a little naivety form the girl, but she only had to reach out to grab it
One of our experienced Stewards told her to collect the ball, which she eventually did
Then the experienced lady Steward on the field moved her and the other ball bods further back onto the perimeter
I fully expected the referee to stop the game on our next left-wing attack, but (thankfully) he didn’t!

I want the stands to be swapped because it would improve the atmosphere in my opinion, but for the reasons I've given I just can't see it happening.
You get a few isolated incidents of parents acting like that in the family stand but if the stands were reversed, then those incidents would happen in a lot higher quantity.
So as much as I'd like it to happen, I can see the club's viewpoint on it.

I can't see the club ever swapping ends for our vocal support and often more volatile fans to be in the same stand alongside the opposing fans, each match.
It would be like inviting more unsavoury incidents, irrespective of the atmosphere issue.
But, on the original subject of the kids, it shows that a certain small percentage are being dragged up by irresponsible parents these days, who sometimes encourage mischief.
