Referee rating - marks out of ten

What would you mark today's referee out of ten?

Poor I thought, although he did add a bit to the minimum seven minutes added time because of the away side time wasting.

5 from me.

3, missed an obvious handball at 0-0, shirt pull after shirt pull on Salech, at this point I can tell you where any freckles are on his back

I thought he was OK. He let stuff go, which massively helped Robertson

I thought he was pretty good. Yes he missed the hand ball but he let a lot go for both sides and played a good advantage for the foul on Davies for our first goal. We've certainly had a lot worse in the championship.

Bang average, and summed up what the Yanks know about ‘soccer’ and its rules! :(

Some of the ‘gamesmanship’ (polite version) from the Doncaster team, was so blatant, yet missed or (worse) ‘waved on’! :(

The positive was, as someone else said, that he countered Doncaster’s added time ‘time-wasting’, and it cost them! :ayatollah:

5/10 is all I could give! :(

Inconsistent on his decision making. Not the worst, but missed too much

I thought he was crap yesterday to be honest. Yes he booked Robertson yet Donny done about 5 fouls before that blatant yellows and he gives nothing after that they was given cards. No idea what he was watching when salech was with the Doncaster center half yet trying to swap shirts with salech about 10 times but didn't give him one free kick really. The standard is absolutely terrible Vs us this season in most games. Although I'm glad he added on Doncasters fake injuries for 2 minutes when the board got put up with 7 minutes injury time as they was just trying to milk it for a point :banghead:

Thought he was pretty awful tbh. A 2 from me - he let everything go on Salech and blew for every little touch when they were in attacking positions. He overruled his lino for a couple of early thrown in decisions which set the tone. We were fortunate that he didn't blow when Davies and Ashford were both being fouled for our first two goals which was strange and inconsistent in the context of every other free kick he gave. I felt all game he was only one decision away from costing us the match.

He was abysmal. That's one of the clearest hand balls you'll ever see he swiped at it with his palm. The standard at this level compared to the championship is night and day

He was shit because he was shit and not because of what country he's from.

4/10 from me.

Oops! It wasn’t aimed at you, and I’m a little surprised, as I didn’t think (of all people) you would ‘bite’ on that one! It was clearly a joke after Trump’s hijacking of the ‘soccer’ World Cup!

For the record, as certain people could confirm, I spend a lot of time over there, have personal interests, and many American friends, who are incredible people. You’re certainly not the ‘only’ one who knows the USA or the quality of (most of) its people! :ayatollah:

Yeah it went straight over my head. Maybe I should wake up fully before replying in future, nah that would be boring. I never thought for one minute I was the only one either, I'm not even the only one who lives here that posts on this board.

I probably would have had the same reaction if you had said it was because he was Australian/Italian/Kenyan though and I was surprised it came from you more than anything. :occasion5:
