A forum for all things Cardiff City

Brian Barry-Murphy heaped praise on Cian Ashford and said at times he "carried" Cardiff City's attack and "stepped up" when his team needed him most in the 4-3 triumph over Doncaster Rovers.
BBM:
"Obviously Yousef (Salech) receives a lot of headlines, and Callum (Robinson) when he plays, but Joel Bagan scored and Cian Ashford has really stepped up to the plate.”
"I thought Cian carried us at times today when we were in need of real quality and when the game wasn't perfect, he was the one who had real quality."
Clearly, conceding three goals at home is less than ideal. And at times, Doncaster looked like they had opportunities to win it.
Nathan Trott pulled out a couple of important saves, while Donny will rue a couple of one-v-one opportunities they squandered, too.

Running with the ball today I thought he was awesome, so dangerous!
Deceptively strong aswell, u never see him get out muscled or pushed off the ball

Thought he was brilliant. His best game in a City shirt so far

He's been brilliant over the last few games, whatever they are doing with him in training is certainly working. Long may it continue.
Well done Cian

Does a lot of work defensively too.
Great strength shown for his goal, running full speed with someone pulling you back but kept on his feet and finished it well.

I’ve been critical of Ashford in the past but wow has he kicked on recently. Brilliant.

Ashford is the perfect example of how players have reacted to the manager.
He wasn't happy with what Ashford was doing so he left out the team, left him out the squad entirely for one game.
Ashford didn't moan, didn't sulk. He just worked hard and is now doing what they've asked him to. He's been brilliant lately and today was fantastic.
All the players have had their attitude spot on this season.
