Great point and I can say I’ve never left a City game early although it was a slog at times during the Slade and Bulit era’s especially.

Or in Annis' case never post a match report early.

The only game I left early was when the JB's beat us 4-0 and then it wasn't until injury time. I only left early cos I didn't want to be in the ground to hear them roar at the final whistle.

Twice Ole, was in charge.
One down at half time. I knew we wouldn't score.

Arrived home in Abertillery. We still hadn't scored
My father took me to see Wales Scotland
We left early. Ken Leek scored 2...
4o odd years later the goals popped up on TV

I always stay to the end, I think most on here do too (if not always in their case, then the majority of the time).

Even when we've been thrashed that's the case.

I always leave my seat about 85 minutes as I sit at the back of the Ninian Stand And Watch the remainder of the game on the TVs underneath as I am walking underneath the stands towards the buses

Not having a go, but might as well watch it on the Bluebird channel at home! Surely, the ‘best’ bit of the game, is to be in the bowl when such a key winner is scored? :?

Celebration was immense (for those who remained)! :ayatollah:

I am 69 years old with mobility issues so I like to get to bus before the idiots start pushing and shoving,if don’t catch the first buses it’s a long way walk

Reminded me of our 2 goals in injury time to the championship leaders ipswich

Re: Never leave the ground early !

So there was 8 minutes on overtime, and I was expecting the (sh1te) ref to blow up and I stood up from row x, block 14 ninian stand and edged towards the aisle steps.
Then of course, we built momentum, Ashford cut infield and unleashed a fairly tame effort their keeper could only parry, and Bagan was there to unleash mayhem. Absolute scenes and limbs everywhere hugging some late 50s dude (like me) who I didn't know! Felt sorry for Donny but didn't last long!

The lesson learneth is: never leave the cinema until the movie is over.

Wouldn't that mean he'd be posting the report late rather than early?

Exactly Sven

I also sit in the back row of the ninian stand and never leave before the final whistle.

There’s always the point that these ‘early leavers’ are not showing their appreciation to the players who, despite what some think when they don’t win, are busting a gut for the shirt; particularly this season! :ayatollah:

That Wrexham FA cup game is one that I will never forget, absolute mayhem when we scored the 3rd.

He done it before the end had to change it when he seen the score flash up  can't remember the match but we scored very late ,jumped the gun

It happens in every match - what cheeses me off is that these early leavers then block the view on one end, some of them stood still in the aisle watching the game! Same thing happens at half time, usually the smokers and drinkers...

And frankly if you have mobility issues, wait for the crowd to disperse would be my advice - far safer for you. Your bus will still be there butt.

Anyhow - CTID :bluescarf:

Jimmy I’m with you on that. They want the penny and the bun - ambling slowly down the steps so they can watch the game too. So annoying.
I do think that if someone has mobility issues it’s up to them what time they go tho mate.

I just don’t see the problem that a season ticket holder leaving early that attends all the home games it’s their choice

Trouble is that the bus will be gone as they only have 2 there and to wait for them to return could be up to a hour for them to return if they return.

I've never left a game early including the famous Wrexham FA Cup game, but was very close to doing so at Watford after Christmas back in 2010. Marshall saved a very early first half penalty after Lee Naylor was given the runaround by their winger [Will Buckley, who many thought we should sign at the time] before being so off the pace he was replaced after about 20 minutes. Remarkably Whitts scored for us to go 0-1 up, but the second half was catastrophic for us and by the end of the game we were 4-1 down and could hardly see a thing due to the fog which may have been a blessing in disguise as we were so poor. The journey home was on a par with Stevenage last week though for diffrent reasons...

Dave Jones era. When we were good underneath him we were untouchable but when we were bad it resulted in games like this.
