What a great servant and yet might never play again for them

Mohamed Salah Liverpool Premier League

188 Goals 301 Appearances

The current manager needs to look at how bad he himself has been this season and Salah needs to keep his mouth quite.

Nonsense, he's been shocking this season and his comments were unprofessional.

His comments were wrong, and it’s not the first time he had engineered a situation to suit his agenda; BUT as the OP says, his record speaks for itself, and Annie Slot seems to have ‘second season’ syndrome now the Klopp effect had worn off!

I think we should give him an ‘out’ for the remainder of the season, and bring him here, where most would make him feel welcome! :ayatollah:

Salah's comments were a disgrace, I think Carragher was right - he's chosen this specific time to make them so he can try and get his manager sacked.

But it was caused by Arne Slot in the first place. Bizarre that he would treat his best player like that when arguably there were other players who have been playing worse, including Van Dijk and Konate.

Salah is off to AFCON next week and I expect Liverpool will be working on a way to move him on.

But I do find the whole situation quite funny, because Liverpool do like to act all high and mighty over the rest of football.

They didn't see a problem when Isak downed tools at Newcastle to force a move to them, but it's always different if one of their players is unsettled.

Salah is a baby throwing his toys out the pram, very petulant and unprofessional behaviour. He's actually throwing his manager under the bus.

The guy is obviously an arch manipulator and he has previous.

He's bitten the hand thats fed him millions in salary and bonuses over the past few years and even awarded a 32 year old guy a new contract until 2027!

Ungrateful brat thinks he's bigger than the club.

It's shocking how a footballer player thinks he's bigger than one club I was sat there watching it thinking does he really think he can just play shit every week like he had been doing before being benched and be entitled to be starting that's basically what he said as well as telling the world his relationship had broken down over it with the manager. I bet the other players was fuming to. Made me cringe to be honest watching it. Same as any sport you are not performing your sat out or on the bench in football irrelevant of how big you think you are or who you are. It's. It not first time he's thrown his toys out the pram in public either. Disgraceful really.

I've been reading loads online about it but it shows how stupid football players and it's fans have become when they think a player comes before a club and manager really.

Although I don't agree with him making those comments public I think a lot of what he has said is true. Liverpool have looked dire at times this season and I think that is down to Slot's team selection and tactics. What seems to have changed from last season is that Salah has been forced wider so that the new boys can go more central. Salah is not a winger and its obvious that he is finding it difficult to score from that position. Almost like Slot is trying to force him out. Salah will probably go in January and will likely start banging them in for his new team.

If Xabi Alonso does get sacked then I can see him replacing Slot.
