Stevenage can't fill their own small stadium

Mon Dec 08, 2025 10:34 pm

Stevenage fan on social media:

Sold just 3,700 for tomorrow and 1,380 is an away end

I get we’re shit for numbers and I get some entitlement has creeped in but that is dreadful when it should be billed as one of the biggest games we’ve ever had

Feels like our revenue officer should be focusing there to be honest!

WE ARE THIRD IN LEAGUE ONE

We should be buzzing off our nut going into games. It’s one of the biggest games we have ever had and everyone is coming into games like it’s a chore

Whilst I’d want better from us as fans the marketing for the games since Luton been pretty poor

I would have loved to go tonight but as I didn't have a season ticket last season I'm struggling to get tickets for games like this ....

Let’s not down a small club with little history in league football As a -% of the local population it is much higher than Cardiff’s and we are not surrounding by large clubs within easy reach

To be fair, I didn't call them a small club there.

Just pointed out one of their fans saying they can't sell many tickets in a small stadium in what he calls one of the biggest games in their history.

No that is me using that term as they are a small team . But a larger % of their population turns out for games than Cardiff’s We rarely sell out for our big games either ( I know we have for Chelsea ) but we are not a big draw for many fans to be fair

It is a small population but surprised at the low sales because with the exception of the local derby with Luton earlier this season and any promotion deciders I would have thought that this is possibly the biggest league game in their history. They are in striking distance of going top and are playing top of the table side who in the last 15 years or so have been in two Wembley finals and have been albeit for a short time in the Premier League and have the best stadium in the league. We are a very big club by their standards. I remember when they used to play Barry :old:

We are a big club compared to them but let’s face it only city fans including myself think we are a big club Currently this season 43% of our seat remain unsold on average per game and last season our biggest game against our local rivalies we only got 26,000 So over 6000 Seat not sold ( thou have to take segregation areas into account ) I love this club but very few of the people O have worked with who like football have ever seen us as a big club

A real six pointer tonight.

Also realised we’ve scored 13 goals in our last 5 games. A great scoring record. Hope we have a good crop to pick from for tonight. Would take a 0-1.
