It’s a fallow year at Glastonbury this year, so someone has suggested a ‘Landonbury’ festival! :laughing6:

It's only Monday & I have no doubt the FIA are feverishly looking for a reason to dock him points again.

I'm not a fan of the sport but always great to see someone from Britain being World Champion and he appears to be much more likeable than the last one, Lewis Hamilton.

So congratulations to him :thumbright:

My mate’s sister was the trainer for the Mercedes engineers crew for Hamilton’s car. (He obviously had his own PT).

He was widely loved by all of his team and Tulshi met him a number of times and said he was great and his media portrayal was unfair. He spent about 15k buying beers for the volunteers at Silverstone pretty much every year.

Even with that being said he won me over with the way he was about his dog.

Obviously didn't know all that, I just never warmed to him as a person and I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

But those things you've said are a nice touch.

Yeah he comes across very different to that.

I think it’s similar to Andy Murray maybe. Elite athletes need to have a certain focus to them and that can be seen as arrogance.

That's true, saw Andy Murray on a podcast the other day and he actually came across as quite a funny guy which I'd never have thought.

Elite sportsmen are different to the rest of us I suppose, I always look at someone like Ronnie O'Sullivan. Not the sort of guy you'd want to get on the wrong side of but will go down as a legend in his sport when he eventually retires.
