CROWD FOR OUR NEXT HOME GAME?

Sat Dec 06, 2025 11:23 pm

Doncaster at home home many will turn up before the circus game midweek chelsea , so dissapointed today with the crowd, we are top of this division but our fan base is all over the place,
that's a shocking turn out today.

Luckily it has not effected the team but we are not one of the best supported teams even in this low division. The team are playing the best style and exiting football for years, top of the league, and we cannot reach 18,000 in a 33,000 capacity stadium apart from the chelsea game shortly .
I for one will be at the Doncaster game, but not the chelsea,
but there again for Exeter and stevenage,
why can' t we hit 20,000 now we are top of this division is baffling.

Crowd shocking today.

This should be a good crowd because I'm sure it's the game where the club have put on half price tickets?

I'll say this - Stevenage and Doncaster are much, much more important than Chelsea.

The atmosphere is embarrassing and dreadful most games I've found this season as it's gone on. You would think we are in the bottom 3 of the division. As for the attendance we have Always had a fair weather fan base when it suits who use rain and other excuses. We are nowhere near as big as some think we are sadly unless it's a top elite team that's when they come out the woodwork even during a tsunami they would show up for such games then, then go back to it :bluescarf:

I don't think crowds will ever recover not while you can stream every game

Good crowd today. We are in Div 3. Our promotion game in 82-83 v Orient we had 10,000. Escaping your head is a great skill.

Wayne Nash and the stewards under his instruction must take a lot of the blame :banghead: :bluebird:

Listen .ive supported city since 1975 and its always been the same .absoutley baffling the variations in crowds we get .ironically in my first season we had the game agains hereford crowd 36000 .most of that season we struggled to get over 10000.

Really poor in terms of number yesterday, and also noise generated by those who were there. Large periods of silence.

But this is our fan base unfortunately.

We’re in League one.
In the championship we’ll get a few thousand more if we’re doing well.
And again in the Prem we’ll a few thousand more of course.

We have the hard core of fans and then the floaters.
It’s always been the same really.

The Team and Our Club and Manager Deserve crowds like that.

Bolton and Bradford are gutting bigger than that.

I know and we should be getting bigger but like everyone else I don’t understand why!

Its coming up to Christmas and season tickets holders aside, people don't necessarily have the funds to attend every game even if they want to. I'm going to Stevenage on Tuesday and am intending to go to the Doncaster game, but I had to make the decison that £30 just before Christmas for the Chelsea game was out of reach, so have foregone that chance. I think a lot will also want to go to Lincoln as its another big game just before Christmas and we are home on Boxing Day too. Away games have been very well attended as there are a lot of new grounds for many to go too - life is expensive and people have to make choices... The way I see it is that we are getting the crowds I would expect us to get in League One even if we are top of that league.

I think the live streaming has a big part to play but hopefully get bak up to championship and crowds will come bak if the football continues to get better .
I’ve heard quite a few have bought tickets for the Chelsea game in Cardiff end but are just going to watch Chelsea
