No mate Tan only gets the blame when we lose. He picks the team then don’t you know.
Sat Dec 06, 2025 2:57 pm
I think it's been more luck that judgement with BBM's appointment coz he was probably cheap compared to others that were considered for the job.
However, he deserves credit for allowing us to keep the nucleus of this squad together. We didn't have a fire sale and we are still an expensive squad wages wise for league 1. He defo deserves some credit with that.
Still want him gone though, you know he still has plenty of bad decisions left in him.

I'll consider it once we are back in the Championship pushing for Premier football. You know the place he inherited us from.

What price not being at risk of administration though?

I would take administration instead of going through the rebrand.

I don't think it was some masterstroke by Tan to appoint BBM, he just got lucky.
I won't be giving him credit because it's mostly because of him that we're in this league.

Not for me! I feel, and have said, Tan fell very ‘
lucky’ eventually appointing BBM as Head Coach, and it is he (BBM) who has done wonders with the players he was given, and the few he was allowed to bring in!
On the positive side of that, Tan now has the opportunity to truly ‘back’ his manager/coach in the January window, and push this club further towards automatic promotion and the basics of a squad that could hold its own should it get to the Championship

Someone come and pick me up off the floor. For once I’m agreeing with Ned.

Absolutely not.
Tan has learnt nothing about football in all the years he has been running not only Cardiff but his other clubs too.
Let's not pretend that he's some sort of footballing visionary by appointing BBM - he was a cheap option who told Tan exactly what he wanted to hear.
The fact that BBM is working with a small squad with a lot of academy and youth graduates and says he doesn't want any money for transfers is music to Tan's ears.
Tan appears to have struck it lucky with BBM but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
He's the same clueless idiot he's always been and he'll get no credit from me.

I don't think Tan is as bad as many posters on here make out (i know all and i mean all the counter arguments), but this is pure luck, though, it could and may still go pear-shaped.
Sat Dec 06, 2025 5:13 pm
So Tan lucky when it works out.
But when it doesn’t work out it’s his fault not that he was unlucky?
The guy needs to go.
But we make ourselves look silly when our benchmarking bends to our agenda.
Sat Dec 06, 2025 5:28 pm
What relegated us to Division 3
Unbelievable
Let’s see if we get promoted and then what happens????
Sat Dec 06, 2025 5:45 pm
He should never be given credit for the way he’s run our club.
Sat Dec 06, 2025 5:48 pm
No. His stubbornness got us relegated to League 1 and he's just got "lucky" with BBM. And you know how much he likes luck.
As Annis says, let's see what he does if we do manage to go back up this season and also what he decides to do budget wise in January. I won't be holding my breath on the former or latter though, and especially on the former.

Tan wasn't "unlucky" when he appointed Riza and then allowed him to take us down.
He was just being his usual stubborn, arrogant, clueless incompetent self.

…..we’re in league 1

He's picked a good manager but this is his 13th attempt.

Malky
Warnock
Are widely acknowledged as good managers. Granted that’s still only 3.

I wasn't saying he'd picked all duds... It's just more bad than good and some have been so out of left field it spins your head (Slade?). BBM was the cheap option who promised the world, luckily for us he can back it up.

Well that’s just nonsense. I think it’s time for a change but nothing is worth going into administration for.
The simple fact that if we went into administration we would then be dependent on somebody coming in with enough money to pay of our debts, or we go out of business completely!!
So whilst I agree with the frustrations around the ownership I will never agree that placing our historic club at increased risk of not existing is worth it.
People said it would be worth getting relegated just to force a change in ownership. Attendances are already down significantly, just imagine if we didn’t manage to go straight back up !!

Not for me,the rebrand for me has killed this club before the rebrand the atmosphere was so much better,I’m wondering if that will change when he goes and some old fans come back?if tan wasn’t so stubborn and maybe aceepted some help from footballing people we might not be in this mess

The atmosphere has been fine many times post rebrand. The Man City 3-2 win is one such example.

Paul,
I honestly believe it’s a wind up.
We should not be in Division 3 at all and if our club had been managed right from the top we would of stayed in the Premiership not Suffered “ Three Relegations “
I think we have had 15–16 Managers and 6 CEO
This is a Total Wind up.
We should just try and enjoy this season not suddenly be divided by a Wind up.

Totally agree Annis, soon as the dictator leaves the sooner our club can move forward.
