Just found a photo, great memories :bluebird:

Sam at My Wedding changed Cardiff’s game to a Friday night to attend with his Wife Nida and the Secretary my old friend Jason Turner :bluebird: RIP

Fantastic, Annis!

Not many can say they got a club (or a class man in Sam) to change a fixture to accommodate a supporter! :laughing6: :ayatollah:

Memory's annis :bluescarf:

I remember being sat in the car with him years back in the railway pub car park near nelson one morning waiting for others to show. Sat there reading his papers so I said to him you going to sort this f*cking deal out with tan and he said he's not easy to deal with and so on. Anyway he gets out goes to the boot he forgot his coat then walks over to a random house and knocks the door opposite the railway pub and asks some bloke for a lend of a coat. Anyway he got the coat and tried to give the bloke some cash. The man who he asked recognises him and said no just take it. On route to the game then in the afternoon he stopped off to get a new coat. Like a f*cking fashion show it was. I kept saying to him yeah that will do as I was supposed meeting people in the pub 1 hour before this but he was trying everything on coat wise and dragging his heals  . He chucked me out by the ninian pub turning and off he went to try sort a deal with with tan. Always liked Sam despite what people think he was a Character and many funny stories from when I was much younger on trips :bluescarf:

Should have more nice stories and memories, as we get older we reflect on the past and usually better things.

Never forget inviting him to my stag do. He rang me in work and explained that he couldn’t make it but talked for a good ten minutes. Can you imagine the Dictator doing that?

When sam came in the interest and buzz around cardiff city just went off the scale. After the nightmare of the previous 20 years the club was alive again .i just wish we could get that feel good factor back.

Mike,

In my 53 years of following City, the biz Sam created I have never ever seen that before or since, it was incredible.

There’s no doubt Sam created a buzz and started the process that led to a new ground and the premier league. But let’s not forget he also nearly put us into administration more than once, the first time when Kav was sold to Wigan. Imagine the melt down if Tan suddenly announced he was going to sell our best player. So yes Sam bump started the revival but let’s take off the Rose tinted glasses

Let’s not forget Temme, Mike Haul and PMG all stabbed him in the back.

We were going under before Sam came and he never put us under that’s the facts

He did sell because he was forced to, who brought Kav in in the first place?

NO one wanted us until Sam came in. A fact.

Div 4, struggling at the bottom for years and Ninian Park was falling down.

You can love Tan all you want, I detest the Dictator

It was such a shame when it all went tits up with Sam, but I would have him back in a heartbeat.

The only owner in my many years of supporting my club who actually really cared about the fans, as well as the club. :bluebird:

He definitely loved the fans and the fans loved him the buzz he created will never be seen again. But unfortunately football moved on and left him behind for what ever reason, it’s sad but the club nearly didn’t exist until Sam he I guess just didn’t have that financial clout to go that bit further I don’t know.

But if we had Sam and tan working together then god knows where we be it would have been amazing.
