CARDIFF DUO DRAWING INTEREST FROM THE PREM

Wed Dec 03, 2025 7:51 pm

Kpakio And Lawlor are drawing interest from a host of teams in the Premier League.

Fingers crossed they stick with us for a longtime.

Tan will be rubbing his hands at 5he thought of a big sale, and tgat will f.ck us up again.

Football League World, perhaps one of the most unreliable pages.

I have no doubt there will be interest in the summer. Every player has their price, rightly so.

The scaremongers will be suggesting they'll go in January but that's very unlikely.

If we don't go up this season I think we will lose a few of our younger lads, pretty sure none will go in January and if we do gain promotion I'm sure they can be persuaded to stay for a crack at back to back promotions

He has no history of selling players on the cheap for anything other than a fee that suits us.

Previous owners sold players on the cheap not Tan.

Always recall Ridsdale selling Ramsey on the cheap. What was it, £5m? A steal which history proved in the end.

Every year DJ had to sell a player. But yeah Ramsey was the one that hurt the most. Two of the biggest teams in the prem after him and settles for 5 million. Might even have ended up a bit less as they paid in early full didn’t they?

Kav being sold for 300k hurt a lot. The way it happened as well.

My point was' nt the transfer fee but the dreaded thought of loosing them ,as Tan who like to recoup funds .

McGuinness for loads of money and we were happy, Adams we were happy (shouldn’t have been he’s exactly what we need), Siopsis for money we were happy. Going back we sell on our terms. Sometimes we can’t do anything about players wanting to leave.

IF there is a bidding war and the price is too much to turn away, let's get a deal that loans them back until the end of the season.

Here we go again. They are league 1 players and struggle at times to perform against bottom of league 1 teams. I'd be very surprised if a prem club was interested in any of our players. We'd struggle to sell to a top half championship team imo. This is a team that was relegated from the championship with a whimper. If promoted, better players are needed to stay up.

Hopefully Tan gains a brain cell and realises keeping our best players at least until the summer, will gain him more money with promotion than a quick sale in Jan.

But you said about selling them and I pointed out Tan doesn’t do that unless it works for the club. I then showed the times he did that most recently.

So Tan will sell them if the price is right for him, my point again is regardless of the fee my worry was loosing them as it suits tans financial position to sell them regardless of wether that f.cks us up the same as he f.cked us up by keeping riza and us near the bottom of the division all season and let us be relegated.

Now you are back tracking and adding other stuff because as usual your argument has no merit and is just an anti Tan moan.

Tan has never made any manager sell any player it did not suit the club to sell. They have even turned down offers for players when the player clearly wanted to leave (Keifer Moore) and in the end had to sell due to the player’s actions.

We sell players because we want to never to boost Tan’s coffers. If Lawlor or Kpakio go it’s because the offer is far too good or because their agent makes it clear that the player wishes to go. Not a lot we can do. If Tan wanted rid he wouldn’t be authorising new contracts for these players.

I need to conclude this. It’s like arguing with a door.

I'm a realistic and give my opinion. Too many deluded people supporting Cardiff, thinking we have top class players. The evidence says we don't. A bottom half championship team at best.

Neil,

Tan was selling Keither Moore to Wolves on the January, for £7mill

Moore was in shock and told he had to go.

Then Tan demanded £7mill upfront, Wolves as most clubs do wanted to pay over 3 yrs so pulled out.

From that day Moore decided it’s time to move on

If Kellyman is worth 19m what are these two worth :-)

The wolves interest was the summer before wasn’t it and then he was disappointed he didn’t get a move so changed his agent.

I think Mick came out and said he wanted to leave and can’t blame him. But that supports my point on Tan. He wouldn’t let him leave unless the deal suited Cardiff
