Players from tonight will go out on loan

Tue Dec 02, 2025 11:53 pm

Question to BBM tonight:

"Are there some of these players that you will look to send out on loan in January?"

Brian Barry-Murphy:

"Definitely, definitely, definitely."

For me there were at least two players that I would send out on loan - Perrett if he isn't going to feature in the first team squad and Pearce as they both look decent players who would benefit from some first team football. The biggest disappointment for me is Nyakuwha - he's had a few chances now and doesn't seem up to it in my opinion. Obviously, I don't see him in training, but I can't see what he brings to a team. I would love to be proved wrong, but his decision making and ball control are poor which is important in a BBM team. I also feel it is also too soon for Mafico and a few others after watching last nights performance. Debutant Williams looked very calm and assured when he came on too but other than that there wasn't much to get excited about. Perhaps it was just a bad night at the office...

I agree about Nyakuhwa. He's been poor the last few times he's featured, definitely needs a loan.

I have a feeling he may be one that ends up with a lower division or non league career. I just don't see what he contributes.

I can’t believe nobody mentioned young 15yr old Donczew’s performance last night when he came on. I thought he was excellent during the 20 minutes or so, that he played, and certainly belied his age with his composure on the ball. I have no doubt that he is a future star, and we should hold onto him.

I agree he looks a good player, but he has been mentioned on other threads.

I have to be honest and say I had had enough by the time he came on so didn't see him. I've never left a game early in 56 years of watching the Bluebirds and wasn't there last night, but I had to switch over. Lets hope he keeps his feet on the ground and continues to improve :bluebird:

Evaluating an entire squad of inexperienced under 21 players can be misleading. A more accurate metric for judging individual talent is the "slot test": introducing just one new youth player directly into the senior first-team environment. Seeing how that individual adapts under pressure provides a far better indication of their ability to step up to the professional level.

Think players like nakhuywa and mafico need to go out on loan and get bashed about a bit, we know they have the technical ability they now need to know what it's like to play against men week in week out and adapt physically to mens football

Agree with your points, but this was really about my personal opinion on Nyakuhwa who to my eyes simply isn't good enough to play at this level even at this early stage in his career. He hasn't produced much in the first team despite getting more chances than others and has been talked up by a few. One or two others got a mention as their performance [good or poor] sprang to mind as I was writing
