Stronger team than that played in last round:
v WIMBLEDON TONIGHT 7pm
So, Joel Colwill wears the captain's arm band tonight. It's a more experienced side than we saw in the group stages, but goalscorer Troy Perrett keeps his place in midfield.
Gabriel Osho and Dylan Lawlor are the centre-half pairing, while Cian Ashford, a League One scorer last weekend, is on the flank Omari Kellyman. It looks like Tanatswa Nyakuhwa will be through the middle.
Fifteen-year-old Axel Donczew, City's youngest-ever first teamer, is also among the replacements again this evening.

Happy with that. A decent mix of youth and first team. Hopefully it can be enough to get through.
Good for Osho to get minutes, had a tough start with us but he's a great player.

I agree Ned
Should be good enough / Wimbledon have a lot of injuries

Glad he’s gone for a bit of a mix but wound have played chambers rather than risk Lawlor.

Wimbledon :
Wimbledon have a number of injuries
Manager Johnnie Jackson’s :
“Antwoine Hackford’s injured, he’s done his hamstring in training”, explained our manager. “He's going to miss out for a couple of weeks. Delano McCoy-Splatt will also be out longer term. So we’ll be without those two.
“We can probably go and push some of the boys a little harder and will give some of the younger ones a chance.”

Surprised that Spiers isn't there after his last performance but maybe he's injured.

That's odd unless he wanted to play for the U21s who lost 3-1 at Burnley - which I doubt.

Just checked and he played for the u21 today in a 1-1 draw away at Barnsley, strange as I thought he would definitely start tonight

Trio out injured
Unfortunately, since the last round, Cody Twose, Dan Ola and Alyas Debono are all out injured.
Brian Barry-Murphy confirmed as much pre-match.

Correct, he did.

Sorry, Burnley was the previous game - Barnsley the most recent. But I still think it odd that BBM didn't save him for the Wimbledon game.

He selected four players who started the last game as per the rules; he must have had permission previously not to include them because of how many we had on international duties.
