"Wintle's performance today was exceptionally good.
"He covered so many defensive situations and stopped them at source. That's very important for us. He is rightly appreciated by everyone in the squad.
"If he plays like he did today, I'm sure the supporters will appreciate how important he is to the team.
"Ryan has had a situation whereby Alex (Robertson) has come back in and had a really positive impact and Ryan has had to come back in and do really well.
"Alex came on again today and did really well, and Dave Turnbull.... you have to have that feeling of competition for places in there and those guys are really competing against each other.
"I think for the team there's different challenges and while today it all ends really well, there were periods in the game where Mansfield could have been dangerous.
"So, for the players to play the way they did was very satisfying. To score the goals that we did was very important for the team.
The most pleasing thing for me was probably that we looked like we could score more goals and with Rubin, who is having surgery tomorrow actually, missing and the team changing like it did, that's very pleasing.
“I think in this stadium the support we've had has been incredible and you can see the energy, how quickly it comes when we're playing well.
For the supporters, who've been so behind us so often this season, to get a day like today where they can enjoy the game, enjoy this evening and be at the top of the table is very satisfying for us all. It's very important.
"To play so well and score the three goals we did from the chance we created and limit Mansfield to very little makes it a very satisfying day for us all.
“We’ve had different points of the season where we've been pretty good but I thought, consistently, we were very good today.
“In the key moments of the game we created enough chances to score more goals but we didn't and then when it's 1-0 you can always think it can become difficult, so to get the second goal at that point was crucial for us.
“The togetherness of the team was very satisfying for me and then the overall performance levels of the whole team in general was very pleasing.”
