I would disagree with that. The experience is invaluable & just about every player wants to play for his country. Anyway there is no international break for a while now so it's a non issue at the moment. I would much rather he was getting picked for Wales than not, barring any injuries of course.

We all talk about Rubin but Lawlor is the real academy breakout star.

We need to get promoted or we'll lose him for peanuts.

May still lose him if we go up but we would get a massive fee.

That's why it was crucial BBM convinced him to sign the new contract - and it was BBM, not the board. He wanted to leave the club before he met BBM.

Imagine if he was a bit taller, say 6'4"...my god, Tan would be rubbing his hands together.

As he's more of a shorter centre back, I'm not sure any of the big boys will come circling...but what a player we have on our hands!

He is only 20 next month, I am expecting the big boys to be watching every game with interest

Thats true my biggest fear with him is not playing for wales it's getting the recognition from bigger clubs/ managers scouts etc and getting stolen from us

There’s no surprise that lawlor and fish were our pairing for our good run, at the start of the season.

We need to stick to these whenever we can.

Totally agree. Best player I have seen since Ramsey . No just hitting the ball long he is comfortable running with the ball and his passing is top class. He has an arrogant side in interviews which I like when you back it up. Please let's keep him for 2 years and go up the divisions with him.

The ball he played for the second goal was like a Whits pass. Unfortunately he's not going to be with us very long he's a premier league player

You’re both spot on. The kid is class. He has potential to be a top class premier league player, Colwill a good league one they are not in the same league. Agree he is by far the best player since Ramsey came through. Think we be able to hold him for one season in the championship next year then there be a battle to keep him at the club.

He’s a very good player.

There was a lad at Oxford last year called Ben Nelson. On loan from Leicester. Maresca at Chelsea rates him and tried to buy him for Chelsea. Leicester fans were gutted he was sent out on loan.

Anyway, this lad was superb for Oxford. Glides out with the ball beating players with ease, wins headers attacking and defensively and just generally looks like he has time.

Lawlor reminds me of him.
