“ Not good news for our Rubin “

Wed Nov 26, 2025 8:44 am

I’m hearing Rubin Colwill the best player we have in my view could be out till Feb / March 2026

God I hope not, this will be a difficult time for us without that creative push and driving runs will kellyman fit the bill? If it is inevitable that colwill is out for months,Tan will have to dig deep to replace him,
it's such a shame for the lad to also to miss out on the chelsea game.

I honestly think this could be the difference between top 2 and playoffs, I think rubin is that important to us, we looked devoid of any creativity once he went off Saturday and against the better teams in this division we would have lost

Of course he’ll be missed but we looked ok second half and scored two goals, more possession and better side.
The key for me is getting to January without any more midfield injuries.

Doubt that Tan will make any money available in January especially as the manager has repeatedly stressed that he is happy with the size of the squad.

Robertson, Turnbull etc will need to step up over the next few months.

Not good, by far our best outfield player this season

Let's just hope Robertson or Kellyman can fill in because turnbull has been sh!t this season

I thought we looked better once bbm made the 3 changes and pushed kapakio into midfield but I felt that own goal just after they equalised knocked the wind out of there sails a bit as before that we looked on the ropes, I just feel everything good this season has gone through rubin and without him we will struggle to create much, hopefully I'm totally wrong and Kellyman and willock can fill the void rubin will leave

Terrible news.

I'm more gutted for him than anything else, he's finally playing regularly and playing well.

He will be a huge loss but thankfully we do have players who can step into his position.

Disappointing to say the least, but we certainly have players in the current squad who can now ‘step up’ and take their opportunities to ‘run the show

BBM knows his squad, so won’t need any advice from me, but moving Callum Chambers into midfield, and pushing a choice of Kellyman or Robertson forward, or maybe introducing Robinson alongside the important but often isolated Salech, might be an option?

Hes unlikely to play again this season if its an operation

They are not going to rush him back if its stitches to ligaments and tendons

Hope he has a smooth recovery, he’s been a level above this season.

Robertson/Kellyman is the right replacement for me.

I hope BBM doesn't think Turnbull is a good replacement, or we could struggle with creativity.

A big loss for us this season, he's finally found the consistency some of us were crying out for and he will be a big miss while he's recovering. His brother seems to play at a different level than usual when Rubin is alongside him.

No clear replacement for Rubins all around attributes has been an issue for a while.

Injuries happen.

Time for someone to step up!!

Could be worth getting Ramsey back in until Colwill is fit again

Everything he says is a wind up, just ignore him & his stupidity, it will help keep your blood pressure down as well.

As predicted, Injuries are now coming thick and fast. We will struggle with such a small squad. Can we hold out until the transfer window, and will Tan back the club financially.
