Idrissa Gueye was sent off for Everton at Man Utd tonight for appearing to slap Michael Keane, his own teammate.
I thought it was very soft but what's the weirdest red card you've seen?
Callum Robinson's against Swansea has to be up there.

Just seen it & it is certainly up there. And by the letter of the law the ref did the right thing giving him a card but a yellow would have sufficed.

Refereeing this season is absolutely pathetic if you use the law as its written did he excessively hit him No chance so no red as pundits said yellow would have survice with a warning to cool down.... benefit of yellow is var could have intervened but ref took that option away.... the weekend refs to scared to dissalow goals with players offside arsenal had 3 players standing in line with keeper all be it 15yrds out But said nothing ... they get 100k to be rubbish at their jobs nice if can get it.

Not in the same league as when two teammates—Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer—had an explosive bust-up during a Premier League match between Newcastle United and Aston Villa - For the record ...
It all came to a head during a mid-table clash between Newcastle and Aston Villa at St James’ Park. With the match tied at 0-0 in the 56th minute, a moment of madness unfolded that would forever be etched into Premier League history. The situation began innocuously enough, as Newcastle struggled to break down Villa’s defense. Dyer, who had been playing a relatively quiet game, found himself in an altercation with Bowyer after a tackle in midfield.
Dyer, perhaps frustrated with the lack of opportunities and the general disarray on the pitch, had made a half-hearted attempt to challenge for the ball. Bowyer, who was already on edge, appeared to take offense at Dyer’s perceived lack of effort. The pair exchanged words—loud enough for the cameras to pick up—before tensions escalated dramatically.
Suddenly, without warning, Dyer swung a fist at Bowyer, who responded by pushing Dyer back. The two players came to blows, throwing punches and shoving each other in full view of the stunned crowd. The fight lasted just a few seconds but felt like an eternity. Referee Rob Styles had no choice but to step in, and both players were swiftly shown red cards. The crowd was left in disbelief, as the two teammates were escorted off the pitch, leaving Newcastle to play the remainder of the match with just nine men.

Isnt this the refs 1st season as premier league referee?if so can't blame him for giving red but you'd think a more experienced ref would have boooked them both and tell them to cool it... player was incensed after the red because it was Keane who ultimately got him sent of for engaging with him twice and thats what he was angry about at being sent off.....

Gibbs being sent off for arsenal when he wasn't even involved in the incident
The ref mistook him for ox-Chamberlain and even though ox was telling the ref "no it was me ref" the ref still sent gibbs off

Paqueta with one today.
Booked for dissent and then given a second yellow because he just wouldn't stop having a go at the referee.
No wonder he's been suspected of betting breaches in the past. Wouldn't surprise me if they look into that.
