Brian Shaved His Beard Off.

Mon Nov 24, 2025 7:55 pm

I have to admit that I am a fan of the footballing side of Brian Barry Murphy. He impresses me big time. I also like the way he refuses to give responses to journalist's questions that seek to guide his answers in directions of their own choosing. Instead, BBM answers by saying what he wants to say about the team that is inspired by, but not directed by, their questions. I think he is a clever and principled manager who will serve Cardiff City well. But then, I am an optimist. No idea why he shaved his beard off.

Heard on the VFTN podcast that they bumped into him at Northampton train station when he was eating a Domino's after the game because he was going down to London to see his wife, so maybe he just wanted to look fresh

Agree with your comments. The target is promotion and the league table doesn't lie, we are where we want to be at this stage - obviously a long way to go but I think we have a good one with Brian.

Agreed.
Let’s hope the teams below keep gifting us out false position at the top. Because despite the fact we amassed the most point we only there because they keep losing. Lol.

You are forgetting that had all the other teams won at the weekend and we lost we would be 7th.

Not necessarily. Another team could be below us still. Also, points deductions.

So many variables.

Now you're being too optimistic........

But they didn’t; and we aren’t.

Please don’t let logic get in the way of this. I want to be negative about my club.

Thanks people - but I wanted more suggestions as to why he shaved his beard off! Was his wife fed up with it? Did he feel he was viewed as too 'unwashed' and severe by the press? Or what?

She prefers to sit on a face sans beard.

Maybe a little grey was getting into it. But more likely his wife was fed up with it. Mine was when I grew a beard.
