Time to kick on

Sat Nov 22, 2025 7:35 pm

If we want to go up we need to put together a good winning run, as all champions do.

Think we can do it, today was a good balls to the wall win, subs impacted the game, keeper made a couple of great saves, and we overcame the loss of Rubin.

Still need a couple of good signings in Jan.

Top of the league which can’t be disputed. The other sides don’t look capable of any consistency, we need to show it now over the couple of months.

Do that and we’ll be fine

It's the consistency that will be essential. No teams have really dominated so far. Any side is capable of being sublime and ridiculous. We know our lads can play and we do have imho that little bit more individual quality than perhaps other sides have. Namely the willock goal .trotts saves. A Robertson flick on .

We just need to find that composure to just control a game and keep the pressure of us.

If Tan had any football sense- which he doesn't- he would give the manager the money in January to pull clear of the rest as the squad only needs 2 or 3 quality players to make us very strong favourites to go up automatically. Doesn't need a fortune, but the return for him would be far more than the outlay. Trouble is he is stubborn and to be fair has had his fingers burnt a few times with wasted money that i don't think he will trust the manager.

I agree 2 or 3 quality players as extra additions but there quite a few posters who are addement we don,t need a larger squad.

Problem with getting players in January is that anyone of them that has quality will cost. Then there's finding them first.

As Bakedalasker says above, it’s not a simple as going to get the players that some demand over the Xmas period, and those who come in need to ‘improve’ the squad, not just ‘make up the numbers

Instead of getting arsey with others this time, just try debating the point. It’s only a Forum discussion after all! :ayatollah:

I think a lot depends on whether we can move on one or two. Maybe Robinson decides he wants to play more, or maybe Turnbull wants to go back home.

Yesterday, Lawlor, Ashford were not selected. King and Tanner were unavailable and Robinson never made the pitch.

BBM has said he wants a smaller sqaud than the bloated one we are used to seeing. He has said 18 with U21's making up the deeper numbers. He doesn't want spares.

Bring in an extra LB and I'll be happy.

Depending on the severity of Rubin's injury, maybe another in that position.

But other than that, we have the right size squad and we'll be fine. As the season so far has proved.

What if we sign more players like Osho?

We done this before when in the Championship in November under Malky - if I remember correctly .
