BBM ON RUBIN COLWILL: Not good Rubin Colwill

Sat Nov 22, 2025 5:06 pm

UPDATED:

Barry-Murphy confirmed Colwill has damaged ankle ligaments and warned the early signs are not encouraging.

Ankle ligament injuries can be at least 3 months to repair.

BBM:

"He [Rubin] has damaged his ankle ligaments, and I think the nature of the way the injury occurred suggests that it won't be a short-term injury. Joel picked up a gash on his knee, which looked pretty serious on close inspection.

I think Rubin will be out for a period for sure - I don't want to speculate, because I don't know. But I think Joel's was a cut, so once that's treated he should be back pretty quickly.”

Rubin is in a boot

Rubin Colwill is on crutches as City leave Northampton

Was a weird 1, he hopped off, run back and looked to be fine and then sat back down next break in play. Hopefully nothing too serious but didn't see how it happened

Small squad is diminishing with tanner still out, now possibly rubin key players.

Will be a big loss
He looked good today

Massive loss if he's out everything good goes through rubin and you could see the difference when he went off, we just lost all control, let's all pray it's nothing long term

Not good at all. We're a much better team at the moment when both Colwills are on the pitch.

The manager has said on many occasions that he is happy with the size of his squad.

That's going to be severely tested over the next couple of months.

Jez,that don't sound good. Fingers crossed it's all just precautionary

Rubin has a boot on

Very worrying news.

But don't agree with those that are making the small squad claims.

It's still only three first team players injured - Rubin, Tanner and King. Tanner back soon as well it seems.

But if this is a serious injury then a replacement should be considered in January, although Kellyman could play as the ten.

Really are you for real, what happened when rubin left the pitch today ? and if you cannot see what a miss he is going to be between now and the transfer window,
your deluded, we have a few games to play until the transfer window and who' s to say Tan will replace colwill.

So we will muddle through without colwill and tanner with our small squad f.cking brilliant who needs a big quality squad.

There's nothing we can do until January we just have to suck it up and get on with it, having the majority of games at home will help, we just need to grind out results until we can get a few in through the door, we need 3 players in my opinion

I didn’t see what occurred, nor do I know the extent of the injury to Rubin

However, one of the the arguments I will put up in defence of those defending the ‘small squad’ is that it seems to keep everyone in the squad relatively happy, onside, and together

Another discussion, is who would we have added to the squad to (literally IMHO) ‘make up the numbers’? :?

The honest answer is ‘no one of similar quality’, so what would be the point of collecting more players ‘just for numbers’? :?

I have my opinion, you have yours.

I guess you're just desperate to moan about something because you enjoy being miserable.

We won, so you focus on this.

Honestly Ned,

I would not lie we totally changed when we lost Rubin, we could have lost.
Rubin was a massive lost.

Thankfully we had good Subs that BBM brought on.

What we have is quality, but we will need strengthening

I believe BBM says he’s happy to keep Tan happy

Robertson's time to step up and shine then

Re: Updated:Not good Rubin Colwill

Thought Robertson looked good coming on today. Him and Willock to start next game.

Re: Updated:Not good Rubin Colwill

I think willock could play the 10 he has that little bit of quality that can unlock defences and would be happy for him to fill in there whilst rubin is out

We feared this might happen and now it has. Time to get creative BBM.

Big, big loss of creativity.

Need to get Robertson in midfield.

Gutted that Ruben won't get an opportunity to test himself against Chelsea.

Robertson or Kellyman replace him?

Be interesting to see which one of them can do it

Wouldnt be suprised to see a midfield 3 of Wintle, Robertson and Kellyman with Willock and Kpakio as the wingers next weekend

Massive loss losing Rubin.
However, a chance to try Kellyman in his favourite and most effective position.

Ankle ligaments usually 4 to 6 weeks. An operation could result in 10 to 12 weeks. Not good.

I would bring in an experienced older player to help our younger players who knows this league someone like Ollie Norwood from Stockport to help us get out of this league this season!!

The fact he tried to come back on and could walk says to me it’s not going to be too bad.
Doubt they’re torn ligaments, possibly strained, and the boot is precautionary.
A month he should be back.

Hardly a fantasy world when we're top of the league with games in hand and scored the joint most goals. Squad size not causing too many issues there

You're just desperate to be miserable about things. All your posts prove that.

I am minded to be positive but at least I own that, and as I said that's my opinion which I'm entitled to. I didn't go after you on this thread, you went after me so you resort to name calling - wouldn't mind but you went crying when someone did that to you.

I'm sorry that you're so gutted we won today, season isn't going the way you wanted it to
