If we win it we will play either Italy or Northern Ireland at home in Wales (Cardiff)

Wales will face Bosnia in Cardiff in their World Cup play-off semi-final in March, 2026
Should they progress from that game, they will then play Italy or Northern Ireland in a play-off final which would again be played in Cardiff

Wales have been handed a home World Cup play-off semi-final draw against Bosnia Herzegovina next March.
The draw, which took place in Zurich, has placed Wales in Path A, which will see them in semi-final two against the Bosnians and the winner of that will take on the winners of semi-final 1, which sees Italy host Northern Ireland in the other game in the same path.
Crucially, Wales will also host the final, which was also confirmed in the draw, should they advance past Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 26.
Wales are now just two wins away from securing their spot at the 2026 World Cup, having qualified for the play-offs by virtue of finishing second in their qualifying group.
Craig Bellamy's men went into their winner-takes-all clash against the previously undefeated North Macedonians on Tuesday night and turned out a performance for the ages, smashing their opponents 7-1 on a wonderful night under the lights at Cardiff City Stadium.
But Bellamy and Co will not be content with where they are and will want to make it two successive World Cup appearances, having got to Qatar four years ago but failing to get out of the group.
This time they are bidding to be involved in North America and two fixtures in March, they hope, will decide it.
The semi-finals are scheduled to kick off on March 26, 2026, with the finals taking place five days later.

I remember seeing Bellamy getting the winner against Italy at the Millennium- and Italy remember didn't win their group either - so they are not in great form. Need to concentrate on Bosnia and see what happens

While it is undoubtedly a tough draw, nobody will be that thrilled to get an away draw in Wales, so take each game at a time and hope that we can find the form for another performance like Tuesday night.

Thinks that change is for Euros

Italy wouldn't be ideal but, if we beat Bosnia, then it's two home games which is all we could really ask for.
Bosnia will be a test too though, got some decent players.
Ideal situation if we do beat Bosnia is obviously Northern Ireland beating Italy.

Would have preferred someone else but at least we are home. Italy are beatable and not a great side and were stuffed 4-1at home against Norway a few days ago (minus Odergard) as well as struggling to win with an injury time winner away against Israel in the summer conceding 4. Would prefer this to an away game against Turkey. Got to beat beat Bosnia which will be almost as tough and who knows -Northern Ireland may do a job on them.

Correct!
Qualifiers at the Cardiff City Stadium, in the Welsh
capital, where they should be!

Who? Bellamy. I always wanted Bellamy as manager and don't recall saying otherwise? It's going to be a tough ask to qualify for the WC, but if the team has clicked and puts a performance in like they did against N Macedonia then we have a chance. I would say qualifying for the Euros would be more likely and would like to see Bellamy take us there, regardless of the WC outcome.

Italy aren't the Italy of old. They are a microwave meal version of themselves.
No real star; hence why they are in the play-offs.
We'll do them at home!

I thought you were a bit negative over the Liechtenstein game and I’m sure you said you hoped Bellamy got the Celtic job but I can’t find that post.

I was negative about the Liechtenstein game like most other people. Ive never mentioned Celtic or had any interest in that rumour.
