NORTHAMPTON TOWN FC:
Dean Campbell, Max Dyche and Michael Forbes are all back in training this week and should be available for Saturday’s visit of Cardiff City.
The trio have been on the sidelines with various injuries in recent weeks but all three are on the comeback trail. Nesta Guinness-Walker, currently out due to a shoulder strain, is scheduled to train later in the week and could also be in contention for Saturday, while Liam Shaw continues to work his way back from a long-term ACL injury.
In less good news, however, Sam Hoskins, Jack Vale and Joe Wormleighton are not particularly close to returning.
"Most of the squad are now back in full training and will be available for the weekend providing they get through the next few days,” confirmed Kevin Nolan on Tuesday. “I’ll have a bit of a selection headache, not only for the starting line-up but also for the bench.
"Hosk, Valey and Worms will be a bit longer. They need a bit of time and we’ll give them that time because we don’t want to rush them back, especially with where everybody else is at.
"Dean and Dychey have trained this week but Nesta will be another few days and we’ll give him a bit of time. He could make the weekend but we won’t rush him because Perks (Jack Perkins) has been doing brilliantly and Forbes is also back in now so we have plenty of options.
“We’re in a good place and we’ve built a squad that can cope with any setbacks so we won’t hide behind injuries.”
