The standard of the league is poor, a definite drop down from the Championship. When go up, we must give Riza the trophy, only him, a visionary

The gap from the Championship is MASSIVE it’s like Prem to Championship:

We have to go straight back up this season.

Anything but promotion will be a disaster.
Massive drop in quality from the Championship.

I've been surprised how bad the defending is

I keep reading that people are surprised by the difference in quality from Championship to League One, but why?

There's a gap in quality from PL to Championship to League One, League One to League Two etc obviously.

That difference is normally a significant difference in defending and attackers missing more chances. That's why Burnley have gone from conceding only 16 goals in the Championship last season to already conceding 22 in the PL this season.

You can get away with defensive errors in the Championship that you won't get away with in the Premier League and you can get away with defensive errors in League One that you won't get away with in the Championship.

So of course there was going to be a difference in quality, I don't know why some expected it to be so close to the Championship.

But I don't think there's a huge difference between the top six and seven of League One and most of the Championship. True that the bottom half of League One is very weak compared to the Championship - but not the top teams.

That's why we've seen teams coming up from League One and do well in the Championship - Sunderland, Ipswich, Charlton and Birmingham this season etc.

A promotion from League One can be the catalyst to go even further up. It is a tough league to get out of (that's proven by some being stuck here for years) but once you do, it can really push a club on.
