Omer Riza:
“I'm happy with where the position I left the club.
“I think we did make changes and I think that where Cardiff is placed now is a big, big credit to us last season in respect of not just me, the staff as well and the club.”

Mon Nov 10, 2025 9:59 pm

The poor buggar , this is what happens when you work under tan , lucky he got out when he did for his own sanity , and lucky for us too or we’d be bottom of league one right now

I agree Richy about his sanity, he's clearly had mental health issues.
He looked an absolute mess towards the end. I've had my own struggles in that sense so I can see clearly that's what was going on.
But the fact he's still saying it suggests that he has an inflated ego.

Agree, Ned; but sadly, Omer Riza is not too much different from certain other characters who can never do/be wrong, a la Trump, Starmer, Tan himself, and more
They work on a theory that if you repeat something often and strongly enough, it becomes accepted fact!

Unbelievable Credit for what?

By the time you left us, Sadly you also looked a broken man

He's deluded.
Clubs have not exactly been queueing up to offer him a job since he ruined Cardiff City have they?
Not even those at his level - Cardiff and District League Division 12.

That's all it is, getting his name out there in the hope that a struggling League Two or conference club notices him, as they are about to sack the Manager.

If he's talking about being in league one then he's right
We are where we are because of him
Tue Nov 11, 2025 9:41 am
Finally a thread we all agree on.

If he didn't get us relegated, I might actually feel sorry for this level of delusion.
Clearly trying to use BBM's hard work to get himself a new job.

Does he mean blame?

No, he is taking credit for where we are.

He looked a mess of a man at the end, unkempt hair, bloodshot eyes, wrinkled skin. Either he went on a crack cocaine binge or he's not suited to high level football
Wed Nov 12, 2025 6:38 pm
Absolutely clueless. I did feel for him at the end. I think his Dads death tipped him over the edge mentally. I hope he finds peace in whatever he does next.

Deluded

We are where we are because Tan employed him and left him there until it was too late. (3 games to go)

Well, yes, he should take credit for where we are in League One. Because he took us down, clown

I didn't realise that

I don't like kicking a man when he's down and the loss of his Dad probably hit him hard but if truth be told he was an abstract failure.
The worst job in the world if you're not super mentally strong and obviously working for Tan takes its toll which it did on him.
The reason we're where we are is 100,,% through the hard work of BBM not Riza.

I don’t know that it definitely did mate. He just seemed very troubled towards the end of his time with us. He was obviously very close to his Dad so it’s bound to have affected him.

Not wishing to be any kind of Mr Pedantic here, not at all, but I believe the word you were searching for here was 'abject', not 'abstract'.
Abject - adj. - (of something bad) experienced or present to the maximum degree.
Abstract - adj. - existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence, OR, adj. - relating to or denoting art that does not attempt to represent external reality, but rather seeks to achieve its effect using shapes, colours, and textures.
It was close - but no cigar on this occasion.
Here endeth the English lesson for today.

He had issues for sure.
But I'd counter that by saying I've had issues. I've been sectioned more than once.
But I would never involve other people with my issues. I would argue that he involved us all in his issues by persisting with his job.
