I don't need to watch, I already know the answer is deluded from Liz Truss - started Lib Dem, then went Tory and now speaking like Reform.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but parliament has sovereign power it can make any law it wants to concerning anything in this country even the bank of England and no court of law can do nothing about it ,it's weather they want to or not,for example they could quite easily get rid of the civil service if they wanted to ,but that's the thing if they want to

Why would they get rid of the civil service?

Over staffed, unproductive, poor value for money and politically bias.

She's a politician, they're all deluded.

It’s an interesting conversation that surely has some truths in it from Liz Truss?
If anyone truly believes there are not individuals/businesses/institutions out there who want to keep the status who fir their own interests, rather than the good of the majority, I believe you are wrong
Staying away from the political aspects, it is evident even in our beloved football industry, where the few at the top ‘protect’ themselves at every step to ensure they are not (maybe rarely) challenged; and that sometimes spills over to the playing side of things, where decisions are given to some clubs far easier than others
No personal agendas out there? Think again! It’s never been worse!

Chris this is about the Deep State that is controlling our lives without us knowing about it. Unelected Civil Servants who are pulling the strings. Over the last 3 decades we have been voting for much the same where the Establishment are claiming we have Democracy. We dont have that as we have been voting for much the same over the last 30 years.
That is what Liz Truss is saying here and I for one think she has a good point.

Where is the actual evidence for the 'deep state'? Who is the secretive group of bias civil servants who are all against the government? Do they have a leader? Do they meet in the pub on Friday to coordinate against the government.? Of course there is no actual evidence or proof of this is there.
We sadly live in a post truth age where politicians use social media especially X to pedal all these nonsense stories and if you say it often enough people start to believe it. Part of the problem is also our communities have broken down since Covid and people need to feel like they belong to something. Right wing social media is brilliant at filling the void aided by a bias algorhytm in X that keeps pushing people them same stories. It convinces them they are real. They are not. If you really believe this rubbish get off social media and talk to some real prople. Thats the beauty of watching football isn't it? Proper community.

With you, Ian!
I used to think it was a conspiracy theory, but modernly I look at all things political with an open mind, and the signs are 100% there!
There’s an old adage that states “
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”, and it’s true
I’m not for any specific political party, but I can see why Farage is getting growing support, as the current crop just keep mimicking each other and our (apparent) Prime Minister thinks it’s more important to globe trot his ‘
globalist’ policies, whilst his own country falls apart from the weight of too many failed policies!
Mini rant over! Let’s get back to the football!
