INJURY UPDATE:

BBM:

Ahead of Saturday's clash, Brian provided an injury update on his squad.

“We’ve not seen Will Fish this week in terms of training, he’s a doubt. I don’t think he will train today, but he may train tomorrow. In all likelihood, it’ll mean that he won’t be available for Saturday. “

“Since the game against Newport County, Will has had a knee problem and we’ve been monitoring him since then.

"Due to the nature of Dylan Lawlor’s issues, we’ve been quite stretched so Will has been the one who has played all the games, whereas we have rotated the other position at centre-back.”

“The international fixtures come at a good time for us to try and get everyone fit.”

“Will joins Perry Ng, who we’ll look to have back after the international fixtures and Chris Willock is in an identical timeline to Perry. Ollie Tanner is making good progress and Eli King is longer term.”

BBM:

"Chris Willock had a scan on his rec fem (top of thigh) and it's pretty positive news. But won’t be probably available for Blackpool, so it'll be after the international break.

Ollie Tanner Out till January

Eli King out for the season.

I think the result of this game depends entirely on us. If the team that play brilliantly against Wrexham turns up we will win comfortably, but if the Bolton/Peterborough team play against Blackpool we will probably lose.

On our day we are capable of beating every team in this league but only if we play to our potential like we showed against Wrexham and earlier in the season.

Ian Evatt who played for Blackpool at Wembley in that play off final we lost will have his team well up for this fixture. Minimum requirement is to match the intensity and sheer will to win they will bring if we are to get a result there :bluebird:

Need to bounce back from our last league game in this game.

Got a week to prepare for it and then a two week break from the league after.

Evatt has had a good start at Blackpool but we will be favourites to win.

Hopefully we get on the front foot early in this one

We seem to start games too slow and it just builds up the frustration in the team and then we get desperate and start making mistakes

Blackpool take on Cardiff City at Bloomfield Road next weekend.
Blackpool will be without Lee Evans for their meeting with Cardiff City in League One next weekend.

The midfielder picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the recent 2-1 victory away to Peterborough United, and will now serve a one-match ban.

A change of competition on Saturday meant the 31-year-old was able to feature in the 1-0 win over Scunthorpe United, as the Seasiders progressed to the second round of the FA Cup - courtesy of Ashley Fletcher’s first half goal.

Discussing how Evans’ upcoming suspension impacted his selection decisions, Blackpool boss Ian Evatt said: “Jordan (Brown) didn’t start the game because Lee is suspended next week. Other than George (Honeyman), he’s our only other midfield option so we had to look after him.

It's going to be a very tough game with another new manager. This will be their cup final and a potential statement game.

We will need to win the CM so please leave Turnbull on the bench. Happy with Wintle, Robertson Colwill or same as Wrexham with Wintle and the Colwill brothers. Even something left field like Osho playing 6 would be interesting. I'm a massive fan of Lawlor but I'd probably like Fish and Chambers at CB as we've missed his leadership. He is massively unlucky to not be playing from his recent games.

It should' nt be a tough game for us they are bottom we are near top we have got to take advantage when playing weaker teams burton was a classic example murphy needs to .motivate like the wrexham game.

Thinking a goal will come if patient does'nt cut it for me,
get out there and get it take the game.e by the scruff of the neck and say we are going home with 3 points today and let's get back on top of the table and stop fannying about with it ,
to you, to me, to you and back.
Stick it in the net.

I’m with you Monty,

The excuses are now they are very tough games???

We have a Championship Squad, full of quality and exactly what BBM Says he wants.

NO more excuses, BBM Says he has the tools now, let’s get back to Winning games regularly as we target and expect a Top 2 Finish.

We are in a league with many many Small Clubs and the gap is massive compared to the Championship.

Table puts it into perspective, we are not dominating ,and inconsistent and that needs to tighten up,
another point if you have a bigger squad players who are inconsistent can be dropped and same or better players can be introduced,
but with a small best 11 we are looking to weaker players filling in from the bench for the better players having an off day.

Re: LATEST NEWS " BLACKPOOL v CARDIFF CITY " MATCH THREAD

Blackpool’s injury crisis has started to ease ahead of this weekend’s League One meeting with Cardiff City.
Blackpool welcomed two players back from injury in their FA Cup first round meeting with Scunthorpe United on Saturday afternoon.

Both George Honeyman and Hayden Coulson were introduced off the bench on the hour mark in the 1-0 victory over Bloomfield Road.

The former of the two had been out for over a month with a calf issue. In the league, the ex-Sunderland skipper had been a regular under former head coach Steve Bruce on the back of his summer move from Millwall.
Meanwhile, Coulson had also featured 12 times in the third tier before suffering a fractured arm in a game away to Stockport County.

The former Middlesbrough man could find himself back in a natural wing-back role under new boss Ian Evatt - who has moved away from the previously used 4-4-2 formation.

On the back of the Scunthorpe game, the 43-year-old admitted it was pleasing to have his first lot of returning players back on the pitch.

Exactly Monty,

This shows Cardiff are Def not dominating and 5 defeats in our last 10 games is not good at all.

I know it’s early, but have we been found out and can the Tinkering Stop?

Loose this game and there will need to be a serious look at whats happening. This is not a given game, but we should be on top in this game and not just possession if we are serious about promotion.
