Said in the week that I expected a weakened team today and to lose.
But because we put out a strong team, that's a bad result and I'm disappointed.
It is difficult to play a team when they've just appointed a new manager but no excuse really.
Not going to comment on the performance too much because I didn't see it.
So I am disappointed, want us to win every game.
That said, I'm not devastated.
Could be a blessing in disguise. We've already got a cup run in the Carabao Cup and another cup run would increase the amount of games obviously.
Obviously not happy to have lost but it's not a terrible game to have lost.
Blackpool next week is important, need to bounce back not from this but from our last league game.

I couldn’t care less if I’m honest. Less games, let’s get out of the Vertue pointless trophy, aim for a league and Carabou cup double haha

I notice huddersfield are out too. We could possibly play the league game now on the Saturday of the 2nd round

Played it like we were not bothered. No intensity at all. They wanted it more under a new manager. Does it matter? Not really other than this level of dreadful performance can not carry on next week into the league.

I thought I'd be in the minority as i don't care. Its a small sqaud with one mission. 2 weekends off

Winning breeds confidence
Losing to a bottom 3 team in league 1 is disappointing

Huddersfield can be played on fa cup date as they're out aswell.. seeing as original game is off for internationals

Never, ever like to see us lose a game but i'll not lose a minutes sleep tonight over that result. Because of the size of our squad this could well work in our favour come the months to come.

I agree mate. We needed to take the performance from the Wrexham game into today's game and get a win.
We have become too inconsistent which makes me wonder which team will turn up at Blackpool.

Don't like losing but not to bothered we're out
7 of that starting 11 started Tuesday and put a huge shift in so were always gonna be a bit leggy, still we do need to try and start turning in performances like Tuesday on a more consistent basis and not once every now and again

Exactly this. We played with no intensity today similar to the Newport game and I wonder whether we were just going through the motions a bit wary of a small squad. The league is all this season is about this year. The team have to turn up next week though, no excuses.

Disappointing and winning is always good to maintain momentum.
However we are in the latter stages of the league cup and getting promotion is the main priority and we're doing all this with a small squad

Bradford, Stevenage and Wimbledon all were knocked out by lower league teams today. Bradford lost to Cheltenham. Wimbledon to non-league Gateshead. I wonder how much focus is given to this competition when you are chasing promotion? We were not alone today in not looking ourselves.

I'd love to win the paint trophy. Not too disappointed by today we've already got a good cup run going

5 of the top 6 in div 1 lost today! Minds elsewhere maybe?

I usually hate being knocked out of the F.A. cup, but because of our League cup progress and fight for promotion, I can't say I'm too bothered.
I just don't want to see the attitude, especially in the first half, filter into our league performances.

You put on the shirt, you play to win simple as that

Being out of the cup will be a blessing for the league.
We have a long season ahead and we need promotion. Cup runs are great, but the league needs prioritising.

Notwithstanding the small squad, and the effort put in against the Gogs, its the mindset thar concerns me. You're dead right in that you pull on the City shirt, you play to win every match.
I'm concerned that these lads might think they can show up when they deem it important, but that should never be the attitude with professional footballers. It could undo us potentially, because I don’t think its easy to switch a winning mentality on and off, match to match.
