Coventry City have come under scrutiny for pricing of away

Thu Oct 30, 2025 2:21 pm

Coventry City have come under scrutiny for pricing of away tickets.

In games against West Brom & Swansea, the Sky Blues are charging £45 for adults and £35 for under-18s. It's left West Brom fans attempting to organise a boycott.

Should there be a cap on ticket prices?

Of course there should be a cap on away ticket prices. If the Premier league can do it so can the lower leagues.

Just boycott these clubs charging such prices.

Agree. The one in the Premier League was much needed, remember paying about £70 to watch us at Chelsea one of the times we were there.

Think their cap is £30, EFL should bring in the same cap.

I just don't see why the clubs can't agree on a reciprocal pricing strategy before the season starts. We'll charge what you charge. I think it's fair. So, if Coventry wants to charge £45, then West Brom should charge the same for the return game.

If the Cardiff secretary phoned all the L1 clubs and started at £20, or even cheaper for the further games, at least both clubs will benefit in the atmosphere. S Wales / Severnside derby can charge £45 to cover the policing bill, the transport cost will be much cheaper than another trip to Lancashire
