Nathan Trott 6
Cool and calm in possession and was practically untested in the first half. There's an argument he could have come for the cross which resulted in Kieffer Moore's goal.
Ronan Kpakio 7
Was a real weapon in attack. Was central to much of Cardiff's attacking play and defended doggedly, too. Should have headed in the second but made a poor connection from an Ashford cross. Booked for a cynical challenge.
Will Fish 9
Another really assured performance from a player quickly becoming undroppable. A calm head in defence, stuck to his task really well. Smashed home what proved to be the winner with a stunning strike.
Calum Chambers 8
Back in the side and didn't let the manager down. Like his defensive partner, dependable at the back and decent on the ball.
Joel Bagan 8
He's so important to this Cardiff side. Just makes everything tick on that left-hand side and tonight was no exception. Top outing again.
Ryan Wintle 7
Mopped everything up and kept Wrexham's midfielders quiet. He does an underrated job in there and he showed his importance at the Racecourse.
Joel Colwill 6
Lost the ball once or twice and was bundled out of possession, but generally did OK without lighting it up.
Rubin Colwill 9 (star man)
Showed his real quality, spinning his markers and opening up Cardiff's attack. Central to City's first goal and cracked a wonderful free-kick at the crossbar. Ran the show
Omari Kellyman 8
Arguably his best game in a City shirt. His low shot resulted in a Salech tap-in in the first half, while he tested Callum Burton with a shot to the near-post, too. Like Rubin, showed some really nice moments with his feet as well.
Yousef Salech 8
A real menace for the Wrexham centre-halves, who had to double or triple up on him, but he ran them ragged. Was in the right place to tap home after 13 minutes.
Cian Ashford 8
A really bright performance. Smashed the post from a tight angle and set-up Kpakio for a huge chance before the break. Good to see.
Subs
Isaak Davies (Kellyman 45) 7
Was up and down like a Yo-Yo. Good to see him causing trouble. Had one thunderous effort from range saved.
David Turnbull (J. Colwill 66) 6
Still a little slower in possession than many fans would like, but solid enough.
Alex Robertson (Wintle 66) 7
Bright when he came on. Had one shot deflected just wide. Was assured when things went frantic.
Perry Ng (Bagan 82) NA
Gabriel Osho (Ashford 88) NA

Can’t fault much of that. Great to see Ashford have a decent game, hopefully gives him confidence

So let’s hope, barring injuries, he sticks with the same team especially the back 4.

How you can give Kpakio a 7 and only give Joel Colwill and Trott a 6 each is mind blowing? Kpakio was our worst player last night as he was continually out of position, and their goal came from that. His best position is further forward where he can make his excellent runs down the wing.

Not a chance he loves a tinker. Trott has been ever present since we've signed him. Salech, Rubin and Bagan always start everyone else is rotated
