Totally agree and let's be honest we wouldn't be top we would be 12 to 15 points worse off without trott if we go off games we have got a win or a draw from but should of lost but like you said luck although luck runs it's course over the season . We've got to improve our playing style or things will change quickly on the table without a doubt

Some of us are conceded Ian about the way we are playing from the last five to half a dozen league games I really can't see how others can not see it but just spout "it's ok we are top of the league" due to our goalkeeper I shout add so nothing else matters it seems yet some of them games we could of had hidings in truth, then your just called negative and not a fan for saying such things. It's madness . As the op said luck has been on our side but that runs out over the season or we would be well worse off now although we are still top due to it. He needs to change the system shape rather than playing games with the same thing irrelevant of score line although he changed it Vs Orient so it worked then for our come back rather than like for like which is what we have seen to date more than anything

I'd like to say only this club would complain about being top of the league, but in fact, it's todays society.

Saturday was poor but that has definitely been an extreme reaction to losing to a team who are expected to be up there and are very good at home.

Don't know why some are so unhappy when they said we'd be in a relegation scrap again when BBM was appointed.

I don't know whether its luck, a great goalkeeper who has turned possible defeats into wins (Orient,Reading) an ability to squeeze a result out at the last moment ( Wimbledon, Stockport) or being able to turn it around when we go a goal down ( Peterboro, Reading, Orient). But I seen every game this season and I am scratching me head to understand how we are top. I am grateful for that but I cant see us staying there unless we start playing with a bit more energy

We might of dropped slightly recently, but don't forget how strong we were in defence early on and the run we went on.

What a cracking statement we wouldn’t be top of one of our players wasn’t our player. But he is so we top as he’s part of the team.
And if he didn’t sign for us how could you possibly know we still wouldn’t be top.
Mind you when the facts don’t back up you statements you need to grasp to some pie in the sky theory. Maybe we start dropping down the league soon, and then you be happy.

I've noticed that people say they don't care about other clubs (like Luton and Plymouth) when they're doing worse than us but they do care when teams are doing better than us.

I can guarantee if we were where Plymouth are and they are where we are - it'd be "look at Plymouth compared to us."

Most of us watch games every week that's what's going on and went on to date. We need to improve and your making it out to be something else when we have rode out luck most know this bar very few who go every week. We need to improve performance wise to stay up there but I expect you to turn this in to something totally different like you do to every post

The last 6 weeks we have been awful, But thanks to the very weak opposition and the league having so many small clubs in it we have kept up their but I see it getting hard for us when it should not as we do have prob the best squad for this league.

What I’m saying is if we didn’t sign trott you can’t possibly know we wouldn’t have sign someone else who would put in the same performances do you?

Yeh thats a fair one, It does worry me a bit that when we play the better sides we struggle, if we can play like we did in first half last night we will be pretty safe, nice to shots being taken lets hope same happens Saturday against a very poor Peterborough. I hope last night was not just a one off and maybe we have found our formation abd style.
