Why do teams not have a pop from the edge of the box.

There is a tendency at all levels to score the perfect goal

We got undone today by a twenty harder, the only shot of the game...

They do & that's how we were beaten. Sometimes you just have to have a pop.

We do have a pop but generally not on target ..... only time score with decent shot was Colwill free kick or well worked goal inside area from around 15yrds.... when we get outwide there is no movement on edge of area ball is either forced down wing generally to lose possession or we go back across pitch then back again looking for gaps in defence! any shot from outside area is usually an opportunistic effort by a player.

There was very little space for our players to have a shot from the edge of the box today. Robertson had a shot from distance early on but other than that there was no space because Bolton had so many players back.

It's true you can get lucky with a deflection, like Casemiro's for Man Utd tonight, but more often than not it just ends up being blocked and a chance for the opponents to counter attack.

I'm not a fan of hearing people scream shoot as soon as we pass the half way line.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that we shoot as soon as we're in their half but the odd pot shot wouldn't hurt either, it doesn't have to be one extreme or the other. It's not like we don't ever just pass the ball to the opposition so them getting it back wouldn't be too much of a hit to us, they didn't really look like scoring until that great hit at the end.

Not saying that people on here are saying it, but I have heard some in the crowd shouting shoot as soon as we cross the halfway line.
