The positives from today:

* As we all expected, the defence looks far more solid with Fish and Lawlor back together (although I still feel sorry for Chambers who didnt deserve to be dropped).
* Bagan absolutely pocketed one of the best players in the league before he went off injured. Another feather in his cap on a brilliant LB we've got.
* Robertson’s return — he’ll definitely improve our midfield as he gets more minutes.

It’s still very early days with the youngest squad in the league. As fans, we tend to focus on the here and now, but do we really think BBM wants us to look this blunt in the final third? Or is it more that teams have figured us out and we’re not yet sharp or quick enough to break them down. If we didn't have such an off day with our passing today we would have created more.

We’re still in the early stages of the process, and I genuinely believe we’ll improve. BBM probably had his worst game with subs today, where previously his changes have won games.

We move on, hopefully learn and improve for the challenges to come.

An accurate assessment!
All teams have an occasional poor result, or even a bad run of results.
Look at Liverpool recently.
With many young lads introduced this season, let's give them time to grow as a team.
We are in a very positive position at the top of the league, but we shouldn't take it for granted that we will pick up points from all games.
Certainly, the positives outweigh the negatives this season, so let's not be over critical when the result doesn't go our way.
Judging by the reaction by some fans on this forum, anyone would think we were bottom half!

that's fair I said I believe we have been found out and bbm just needs to tweak his tactics a little bit

it's still early days so plenty of time to get it sorted out

I still say Chambers should be in the team, didn’t deserve to be dropped after last game and is better captain than Ruben who’s place must be in doubt now.

Agree with that.

Today wasn't good but looking at the table tonight, we just about got away with it.
